Do I need to bring my insurance card along at all?

Do most the cars have CD players in them?

Thanks

I would bring the card. If you do have an accident, they are going to want your insurance information (unless you buy the insurance from them).

Most cars have CD Players.

I agree, bring the card, you never know. Also, I think most if not all cars now have CD players.

A small number of companies reserve the right not to rent to you if you decline their collision coverage and don't have proof of collision coverage on a car you own back at home (regardless of credit card).

This is more likely to happen if you have a cheap cheap rate and it is a high demand time like Daytona Week.

But a company cannot refuse to rent to you regardless of what your insurance card does not say unless that is spelled out in their rules or policies or procedures or terms.

You would need to bring a copy of the (usually front) page of your insurance policy that shows the kinds of coverage you currently have.

Feel free to call your travel agent if applicable (including Priceline, Orbitz, etc.) right from the phone on the far wall of the rental office if you have nagging on the spot questions or problems. If goods or services are not provided and you complied with all of the obvious conditions at the time of ordering/booking, the money paid must be refunded

Some States require you have your proof of insurance with you at all times; not sure about FL -- but good idea to have it. Haven't ever been asked for it at rental car counter, just license and credit card. It's good to check with your insurance company to see what their coverage is for you for rental cars, so you can decide your risk in denying or accepting rental car com. insurance.

Tip: Make sure the CD player works before pulling out of the rental lot. Once I got a Alamo/National car where it didn't work and had to swap it for another one.
