I am reading the newest on board cases from RC and know there have been a few folks that had to quarantine due to contacts within DCL kids clubs. IF you are quarantined to a new room, does trip interruption insurance kick in and pay you a little for not being able to leave your room and/or cover into the getting home piece? I know it is 2 separate questions, but both relate to coverage. And if it needs to be worded as such in trip insurance.

Coverage may depend on your specific policy. I did hear that DCL is offering a pro-rated refund for those who are quarantined, so that could make the insurance moot for onboard quarantine. But coverage to assist post-cruise and getting home will be on the passenger so insurance might help there.

DCL states that they will prorate a refund for you if you have to quarantine, so insurance for that won't be necessary.

It's an example of how they're incentivizing people to be honest about their symptoms & exposure, rather than to hide it.
