Hard to say. Probably not. Especially if you don't go to the doctor.
But, if I were feeling like that, I wouldn't want to be exposing everyone else onboard.
I was on the receiving end of a tablemates "it's just a cold" 3 days before the end of one of our cruises, and came down with the grandaddy of all colds by the time I got home. I mean, really, the man had been a teacher, didn't he have the common sense to "stay home" when sick, instead of exposing others? Obviously not.
No, you should be fine. I wouldn't report anything on the health form. Enjoy your cruise. If you have a head cold (sneezing, stuffy nose, and coughing - no fever), would they quarantine you to your stateroom the entire length of the cruise?
This happened to me when we were about to travel as well (non Disney) one time and I took my son into urgent care and asked for a steroid shot because we were traveling. They didn't mind doing it at all. Worked like a charm! And I've done it for my other son once since as well. (Please no judgment - we all parent differently and one steroid shot is not going to kill them.)
No, you should be fine. I wouldn't report anything on the health form. Enjoy your cruise.

FYI, when you go to check in you will be handed a form similar to this. It asks a few health questions. The particular one you would be concerned with is the one about having a fever AND a cough, etc. As long as no fever, you're good.

Just an FYI, the flu that is going around is the flu that mimics a sinus infection.
You take a chance by purposely denying an illness ...
Now THAT is interesting. And helps to explain MIL getting pneumonia very soon after getting antibiotics for a "do you have a headache? oh it's a sinus infection then". She hadn't eaten for over a day, OF COURSE she had a headache. And she was sick in one way or another for a month. Started the DAY after her flu shot (just like everyone else's it seems), but even though (even if you believe the shot works) there was absolutely NO time for her to mount an immune response to it, and it totally could have been the flu, she wasn't tested for it and they gave it no amount of thought whatsoever. Her symptoms looked exactly like influenza, she was utterly miserable, but nope, sinus infection, and no doubt bacterial, so here's the antibiotics bye. And here we are, with pneumonia and still sick and an ER visit and hospital stay. (she's 79 with uncontrolled diabetes b/c she lives alone by choice and is slowly going into vascular dementia and doesn't understand "carbohydrate" and insulin is desperately unsafe for her, so she just gets to deal with normal 190 readings while taking glipizide and metformin...after not eating for a day her ER blood sugar reading was 250, wheeeeee...I tell you, 7/8 of the reason she started to rally while at the hospital was their insulin and proper food...)
Yeah, it was the weirdest thing. When I think of the flu, I think of being doubled over on the toilet with a bucket in hand.
Teachers are exposed to colds 24/7. Kids who go to school seem to go to school no matter what, and it's the same with teachers. At least around here.
Yeah, it was the weirdest thing. When I think of the flu, I think of being doubled over on the toilet with a bucket in hand. We kept trying to say it was a sinus infection because, to me, that what it was. A bad sinus thing that would just pass. The doctor kept pushing and they took a swab from my girlfriends nose and within 10 minutes the results said she had the flu. She even though she was developing pneumonia, but when the doctor listened to her lungs, he said they were clear. So yeah, this flu IS contagious and it so closely mimics a sinus infection that if you treat it like sinuses, you won't touch it.
So a word to those traveling: Hit the Vitamin C hard, get travel masks (like the operating room masks) or something to minimize your chance of getting this.
My DD (age 7) just started showing signs of a head cold tonight. We are flying out tomorrow morning for Orlando. We are spending 1 day at Magic Kingdom (Thursday) and then we are getting on 3 Night cruise on Friday. I've been planning this vacation for 10 months. My DD has been looking forward to this trip and keeps telling me that it's just a cough and she feels fine but I can see it in her face that she is getting a head cold.
Oh, and this vacation is to celebrate her birthday.
DD is just coughing and stuffy nose. It is definitely not anything more serious. No fever and no vomiting. I called DCL and they said she would only be quarantined if she got really sick on the ship and they thought she was contagious. I just want DD to feel better so she can enjoy this vacation. She has been so excited and counting down the days.
