Quantaray?

i had a quantary tripod i used for years, it actually was pretty good but mine was really heavy. ( had it for over 7 yrs) held about 4-5 lbs which was fine for my film slr and smaller lenses but i had to replace it when i started getting heavier lenses. except for the weight it was fine and i don't think i would have spent a lot of money on a tripod for a p&s ( it was about $60+ when i bought it) although you might want to do a search for a thread recently on tripods. bobquincy had one that was fairly inexpensive ( thinking around $70) and he said was really nice as well as light weight

I believe that everything Quantaray is just rebadged stuff from other manufacturers, sold at Ritz and related stores.

I don't remember the exact tripod that Bob has, but I know it's a Velbon Maxi... they are small and light and supposedly very nice for the price. I strongly considered one before deciding that I needed something that could support more weight.
