We just came home from staying five nights here. We did not do Disney, but did Wonderworks, Seaworld, Aquatica & Busch Gardens. We had a nice time & I was happy with the hotel, especially the deal I got for the room.

Pros: This hotel is in a great location. It has easy access to all of the parks in the area. Seaworld & Aquatica are very close, we didn't even have to get out on any main roads. We also could use the backroad to get to I-4 & when you leave the hotel, take a right and walmart is only three miles down the road. Very convienient & will stay in this area when we go again. You can walk to the shopping center which has numerous restaurants. We drove though because it was so hot. The hotel is very quiet, we never heard any noise the whole time. The beds are very comfy with good pillows (which the kids had the beds, DH & I switched between an air mattress & sofa bed). Full size refridgerator was a plus too. The breakfast is eggs (disks & hard boiled), sausage links, waffles, fruit, cereals, oatmeal & muffins & pastries. It was good, but I did get sick of it before we left.

Cons: The furniture is very dated. The couch & recliner were old with the recliner having a hole in it & was kind of crooked when you reclined. The t.v's are also the older type, but they worked fine. The hallways are downright hot. No ac in the hallways so when you go out in them it is like a sauna. Housekeeping is very hit or miss & every day we had to go down to the front desk to get more towels & toilet paper. They would only leave four towels & one roll of toilet paper. Plus they wouldn't leave the towel for the floor except twice. One day we came back from the parks at 4:00pm & the housekeeper was just then cleaning our room, so we just waited in the lobby. I thought that was rather late.

All in all, it was good especially for the price I paid ($59 a night), and they don't charge any resort fees that some hotels do in the area. Because of the lack of updating I would not pay more for this hotel, but would stay again & would recommend to anyone. Between it being an all suite, location, quietness & having a kitchen, these things easily made up for it being outdated. The pool was also very clean, on the small side, but clean.

Thanks so much for posting this! We are checking in to this hotel in 13 days and an up to date review is always a good thing in my book!

What type of restaurants were walking distance?

I know there is a Hooters, Pizza Hut, & Dominos (which is carryout). I know there were other restaurants in that shopping center, but they were not national chains. If you look on googlemaps there is an India, chinese & italian restaurant too.

Thanks for the review! Can you tell me if they charged a resort fee? I called to ask, but the nice, but confused lady who answered told me she was "pretty sure they didn't". Not so much help ;)

TIA!

We were there last month and there is no resort fee. Its like a normal hotel, not a resort, so I'd have been annoyed if they did charge one.

Thanks for the reply :goodvibes

I have been unpleasantly surprised at the number of plain old hotels that charge a resort fee in orlando. Some of the ones I have been checking out online look pretty gross but still charge a fee :sad2:

Can you tell me how the pullout bed was? And were you pleased with your stay as well?

TIA!
Kelma

Overall we were pleased with the stay and would definitely stay there again if the price was right. The pull-out bed was not super comfy, but my kids slept on it okay. The rooms were a bit dated, but they were clean and housekeeping was very good. It was in a great location, and it didn't take us long at all to get to good dining options or to the Disney parks.

If you have any other specific questions, just let me know!

Thanks for being so helpful :goodvibes

Can you tell me about how far it was to downtown Disney? Also, did you find the breakfast about the same as the OP? And, finally (I think :)), if you had a quiet room can you tell me about where it was - ie, floor and side of the building?

Thanks again!

It was very close to Downtown Disney...maybe 5 minutes if we hit the traffic lights right. Breakfast was decent considering that it was free. I tried to mix it up for my kids by doing waffles one morning, the eggs/sausage another, cereal and muffins the next, etc. The variety was decent and the food was kept fresh.

We were in room 440 and it was very quiet, even though we faced the pool. I think being up on the top floor helped to filter out any noise, but the pool wasn't that busy when we were there either.

Thanks so much for this...I just booked 2 rooms here for next April and was worried. We have stayed at Buena Vista Suites and Homewood Suites in the past but found the best rates here. As a party of 10...3 adults 7 kids the free breakfast buffet and kitchenette are huge plusses...glad to know it's not junk Thanks again!!!!

We just stayed here for one night...and NEVER AGAIN!!! EWWW is all I can say. We were staying at Old Key West, but added a last day at the last minute, and no more DVC availability at all so we decided to do a cheap offsite. It was very old and dated, and the worst thing is when we came back from dinner (we checked in around 4, left for dinner and back by 6), I turned on the bathroom light roaches went scurrying away  We put most everything back in the car, stayed out at epcot until about 1 am and then slept with all the lights on and got out of there at 6 am! I was afraid to even let the kids sleep on the pullout so we all squished into 2 beds (3 adults, 2 children) One of the tvs didn't work at all (connector was broken) and there were some really questionable people hanging out in the parking lot (which I guess you can't really blame the hotel for that to be fair). The door next to us looked like someone had tried to kick it in or something, I just did not feel safe staying there or touching anything.

If you want some pros, linens seemed clean although had holes and were clearly old, the price was cheap, and hmm, that's pretty much all I can think of.

I am here right now and find this hotel to be very nice. No bugs, clean and yes..as others have said, a little dated, but I would stay here again if we were to come back.
