I am about a week away from my trip and looking at food options. I have lost 80 pounds so far and want to eat as healthy as I can on my trip.

I love salmon and I see it on menus of places like Columbia Harbor House and Sunshine Seasons... Is the quality of counter service grilled salmon good?

If you have any other comments about stellar counter service meals for a healthy eater, I would appreciate that also.

Thanks!

Nichelle

I ate a lot of fish at various locations while there and 90% of the time it was perfect..once it was slightly dry..

The Wolfgang Puck Express at the DTD Marketplace has a great grilled salmon served over a fennel salad with fingerling potatoes. It's very, very good.

I've read a couple reviews this week of the salmon at Columbia Harbour House and both were very positive. The salmon is served with couscous and steamed broccoli so it sounds like a healthy, and tasty, option.

I had some at Pop Century with rice and a veg that was quite good. The portion was huge. On the allears menu it shows as fish of the day, so I don't know if it's a rotation of different dishes or not. Congrats on your weight loss!!!

Hi! I've had the salmon many times at various places and ALL have been delicious. Tusker house no longer serves it but it was oh so good (well they do still have it on the menu but it's buffet), Sunshine seasons salmon is lovely served with an olive tapenade if you wish. Have yet to try the one at CHH but it too looks as good as all the others I've had.

Salmon is hard to goof up too badly which is why I often select it.

As far as healthy meals go Sunshine Seasons seems to have a good selection of various foods, salads, sandwiches, soups, drinks. We always find something there for everyone in our party, regardless of their preferences.

I've found the salmon on site to be hit or miss especially if you go to a buffet just avoid it. I have found that disney does there tilapia really well thought its a hard fish to mess up. Its also very fresh because they farm them onsite.

It's very, very good.

The salmon at Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD is soooo very good.:thumbsup2 We loved it and will get it again.

I didn't realize there was salmon on the menu at Columbia Harbor House. Will have to look into that. No one here can remember what my DH had last time we were there, but he HATED it and does not want to go back. The rest of us had the fried shrimp and it was scrumptious. We all want to go back there besides him. Maybe I can talk him into the fried shrimp or the salmon? :confused3

I hope you have a WONDERFUL time on your first trip! :cloud9::cheer2:

at Columbia Harbor House is a recent addition. Here is the only review I have seen. The author ate at a high volume time to get a feel for what the meal could be like for most of us.

Ooh, thank you so much for that link. :worship: The salmon looks fabulous! Showed the pic to DH and he's already agreed to go there again. And as good as the fried shrimp basket was, I'll definitely be getting the salmon, too. Unless they take it off the menu by next November. I sure hope not!:upsidedow

I have gotten the salmon at Sunshine Seasons several times and it is very good and tasty!

Thanks for the link on Columbia Harbour House!!! Very exciting news!

DS13 orders this often. Just had it last week actually. His only complaint was he wished it was a larger portion.
