Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has stayed the Quality Inn Plaza lately.
I would like some recent information on your stay good or bad. Which rooms or part of the hotel is best to stay in.

I will be taking my 12 yr old niece with me in May 05, not sure if this hotel will be suitable or not. Please advise if you can.

Thanking you in advance

Stayed there for a week several years ago.

It was okay, nothing special - moderate accomodation I would say, rooms were clean and the restaurants were fine.

Not in the same class as the Rosen Center where we have stayed at a number of times and notice that you have too.

To be honest the RC is probably the only hotel we would consider on I-drive both in terms of quality and location. Although there are hotels and restaurants within walking distance of the QI to be honest we prefer to be away from this area these days.
Too many tacky t-shirt shops etc

Our aunty and uncle stayed there this time last year. They said it was ok but they had a few problems with the noise. Security were chasing people through the corridors and certain types of ladies were leaving marks on doors so that gentlemen knew where to find them (if you know what i mean).

It might be more busy because it is in the middle of the i drive. Personally we always stay at the quieter end of the I-Drive.

Hope this is of some help

regards

biggy

Maureen "the quieter end" being near the Rosen Center.

We actually had a similar problem with noise etc when we stayed at the Quality Inn International once - to be frank staying in this area on I-drive it is generally busier all round, sorry for being so blunt but having stayed in a villa the past few years there is just no contest.

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your comments, to be honest with you I was having second thoughts about the Quality Inn Plaza. The last few days I've been reading the comments on Trip advisor about the hotel, and there were far too many bad comments for my liking.

I was trying to cut cost for the May 2005 trip as I am due to go to the Rosen Centre in November 04. I've decided to have a word with my travel agent and change the QIP to the Rosen Centre for our May 2005.

As I'm travelling with a 12 yr old, I need a stress free trip.

Thanking you again for all your comments.

No worries Maureen, I honestly think you have made the right decision. If you have any doubts, and I would share them, then you are best to change.

Try the Days inn lakeside for a nice budget hotel it is just off Internaional and is well placed for getting to parks without going on the busy I4

The quality inn's on I-drive are busy they are the basic and reasonable priced hotels on Idrive, they are OK, nothing special, We was happy with them until we stayed at ASMO and was totally gobsmacked, the price is dearer but worth it in the long run.

Quality inn Plaza for us was too busy the pools was heaving, and the food was a little edible but albeit it's a budget hotel so Not sure what people expect.

Glad you are now happy to have swapped your hotel the last thing you need is a holiday of a lifetime ruined by a hotel.
