Has anyone ever stayed at this hotel on Hwy 192?? I am looking into a solo trip and using my husbands points from his business trips to stay somewhere close to Disney, but for free within the Choice Hotels chain. Any information regarding this hotel and how the hotel shuttle works would be helpful.

Thank you in advance.

We stayed there several years ago. It was clean and reasonable and very convenient to the parks. We drove our car to the parks, as it seemed that the shuttle only ran a couple of times a day. It only took about 5 minutes to get to the parks from there. Traffic in the evening was very heavy in front of the hotel, all of the people leaving Disney. The continental breakfast was not bad, cereals, juices, muffins, fruit. There was a slight musky scent in the room, but I read that all of the rooms have been refurbished. For the price it was a good deal. You are not in your room that much anyway.

Moving this downstairs for you!

drive thru it alot - it seems like an nice hotel for the money for me.

but I would consider getting an rental car.

you will have to get a shuttle or taxi or towncar from the airport to the hotel anyway - so just get a rental.

disney is not close to the airport. So the only thing even around Disney with free transportation back and forth to the airport is Disney.

besides if you get a rental car - you can do the backroad to WDW. since you are sitting on it. - black lake road runs beside and behind QIW.:thumbsup2

The black lake road entrance is great. But beware that they close the gate late at night. When I was there it was 10pm, but that was in January, just plan accordingly.
I found it to be a decent place to stay. Nothing fancy but very close and convenient. I was also there solo. It was nice and quiet. The continental breakfast wasn't much but the price was right (free).

We like this hotel, we are going to stay there for the second time in july and friends of ours have just come back for the 4th time there.
We have also been told the rooms have just been repainted.
We like this hotel better than the HJ .:flower3:
