Their is a special on this hotel $32. a night. So yet again I ask my fellow disboards friend. Has anyone stayed in this hoteL? Tripadvisor has 2 good reviews and 2 bad reviews:confused3. The price is great. We are getting Saworld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens tickets. We just want a hotel to hang our heads in at night. We will probably watch a movie at night before we go to bed.

Thanks

when are you going?

think this is the place - going in May for one night (maybe) - trying to renew my annual pass at US/IOA.

We stayed there in 2005 and would not go back. The hotel is in a good location and it was clean, but the rooms are tiny. This is the only reason why we would not go back. Other than the size of the rooms, I could not fault the hotel.

Are the rooms smaller then Pop Century?

We are heading to this exact hotel this weekend. We love it. Kids eat free when adult pays for breakfast or dinner, clean rooms, fridge and microwave in rooms which helps out when you have little ones...staff extremely friendly. We opted to go directly through the hotel for 49.00 a night because I wanted the same room we had last time. (on the end, pool view, quiet, noone on top of us...) The only downside is the beds are a little tiny, my husband is tall...but it keeps him close to me as opposed to our king bed, lol!

It's really a nice price for what you get. They even have a security guard which is unusual over in Orlando. You can't beat the location either. Next time I might try the travelzoo deal but we wanted the same room and I was scared if I booked through an online place I couldn't get it.

I recommend it, no problem. And I've stayed at numerous hotels in Orlando since we've been visiting there our entire lives...

Have fun! I can't wait to go, packing starting tomorrow!

Take care,
Cheryl

I would say about the same. The beds are definitely full/doubles...small. But the rooms are actually probably a little bigger. But hey, how much time are ya gonna spend in the room? lol!

Thank for the input !:thumbsup2
We are going to stay at this hotel April 21-29 2009
I used the travelzoo for a rate of $29.00 per night total $261.00 for 8 nights :cool1::cool1::woohoo::woohoo:
I will post my review when we get back.

I am debating staying at this hotel too. I have a reservation at Country Inn Universal for 48 a night. But I may try to save the extra $16. It's the last night of our trip before we head to the airport in the morning. Which would you choose? Country Inn or save the $16 and take this deal?

WOW!!! Thanks for all the reviews... I think I'm going to book it.

We live an hr from Seaworld/ Aquatica. I hate to pay so much money when the only reason I want to stay in Orlando is because I don't want to drive home after the water parks!!!

Please post as soon as you get back. I would love to hear your review!!

I would have no problem going back there if I just needed somewhere cheap and convenient to sleep for one night. What I would never do again is spend my vacation there. Normally we do not spend that much time in the hotel either when we are in Orlando, but that particular vacation the weather was horrendous (thunder storms late afternoon /early evening every day) so we were stuck in the room for rather more time than we would have liked.

We stayed there April 21-29, 2009 so here's my review:
I found it Very Clean !!! We did have a problem with the in room safe and when I called the front desk they said they would send someone right up to the room, well 3 min. later they were at the door and fixed the safe :thumbsup2 not bad at all.
The next door room had college age kids there and one night they were very loud at 11:30PM so I called the front desk and before I hang up with them security was at there door and I didn't heard other peep out of them :cool1:.The only problem I had was when we arrived they say we didn't have a rev. comes to find out whom ever booked my room put the wrong date. Thank God  I copied/had the conformation letter they sent me and on it was the right date . It took them about almost one hour to straighten the mess out.But they give us the room with a pool view: lovestruc. I would reccomdend this hotel !!!! I can't see spending lot of $$$ if we only spend a few hours there just sleeping JMO
I had more $$ to spend at Discovery Cove, Sea World and Bucsh Gardens :banana::cheer2:
By the way the pools are GREAT too.
For just $29.00 per night it was AAAA+++++++
I hope this helps you guys !:cheer2::yay::woohoo::banana::rotfl:
If you have any other ? just ask away

cswtmom...good thing you had a good experience with this hotel. Our room was disgusting. There had been some obvious water damage and the whole room really smelled funny. I would not go back.

staying here in late May. Can anyone tell me what is around this hotel, within walking distance. We will not have a car the first day. Where do eat? things to do? Best wat to get from the airport. Comming in at Orlando, MCO. Don't even know how far that is? Any info would be great! Thanks!

There are restaurants within walking distance for sure. I believe there is a Denny's, IHOP, Fish Bones, McD's, Perkins, Burger King, etc. Much to choose from around there. You will be fine.

Have fun, enjoy the Florida weather!

Shamu, Shamu!

The hotel is about 20 min away from the airport. We rented a car so I don't know what the cost would be for a cab. There are MANY places to eat near by and all are walking distance. MC Donalds is right on the side of the hotel and Burger king is across the street.. You can download the I-RideTrolley map and that will show you everything on International drive also I think they also have the map in the hotel lobby, I remember seeing it but not sure if it was at the hotel or somewhere else. But the hotel staff was very friendly so you could always ask them.
Here is the web site for I-Ride Trolley http://www.iridetrolley.com/
Also check out the HOT Deals on that site( I-Ride Trolley) for some good coupons.
Hope you have a great trip !!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

My favourite restaurant is right next door: Salt Island Fish Market and Chop House.
