Has anyone stayed here? mixed reviews on line.

It is for a one night stay with 12 people (family) all adults.
Is the area okay? The site lists an ART stop across the street, will this bring us to DL?

Sorry for all the questions, we are going for the day to celebrate my DB and DSIL 25th aniiversary and hoping to have fun and keep the price down at the same time :thumbsup2

Thank You!!

I stayed here in 2008 and am staying again over Easter. For me, I love it since it is a reasonable 12 minute walk from the hotel to the main gates. The bed was comfy enough and breakfast is included. Our room was clean - no complaints from me. The biggest seller for me on this hotel is the price - with our military we are staying for $55 a night which leaves us tons of extra money for treats and a special dinner at BB.

This has become our go-to budget hotel.

The rooms are fine (if dated).

The ART stops at Howard Johnson's across the street (even though it looks like there's a bus stop on property). But we always walk. Not bad in the mornings, a little longer in the evenings. ;)

They have annouced some rennovations, adding a coffee bar and expanding their breakfast room.

I took some pics when we were there weekend before last and can post them tonight.

Another plus is that the front desk staff is always very friendly.

Any other questions??

I stayed there with my DD a couple of years ago, and it was fine. very good price, clean, comfy beds, but we didn't like the pillows and bought some to use then took them home. But, I get headaches if my pillow isn't a good one. As far as ART, we walked to and from the parks every day, it was an easy walk, and I wouldn't waste money for ART...especially since it is all adults. Have fun!

We have stayed there on 4 occasions and had 3 great experiences and one ok experience. The ok experience was some time ago and it was just that the room was worn out. They seemed to have refurbished all of the rooms since then.

Breakfast is good, especially for the price. Toast, cereal, juice, milk, coffee, danish, muffins and make it yourself waffles.

The walk is about .65 miles and takes 10-15 minutes. It is right at the edge of what is acceptable for me.

I would recommend it.
