I received an e-mail for 50 free prints at snapfish, and additional prints are 9 cents each. Has anyone used them? Are they good quality prints?

TIA!

My neighbor here at work orders all of her digital pictures from SnapFish because that is also the image hosting site she uses. I have seen some of the prints and they look fine. Nothing special...just like anything you would get at a CVS, Target, etc.

Not bad; nothing to write home about. Free is a great price. However, Snapfish jacks up the shipping price to make up for the low print price.

I used to use Snapfish but then I got my Canon printer and now I have instant gratification!!!;)

The last batch I got from Snapfish was horrible. Many of the photos had dark blue bloches around the eyes. I did not do any editing after I uploaded the images and the blue blotches are not on the originals. I'm not sure if they applied some automatic fix, red eye reduction or what happened. I have used them occasionally over the last few years and would say their quality is average at best. But after my last experience, I will not be using them again. As already mentioned, their shipping is very overpriced.

We have used Snapfish a couple of times for prints, and have not had any issues. Like anywhere, I guess it is all in who you get there to do the prints.

:confused3

i wouldn't use them for something i want to sell or give as a large copy for a gift but for snaps they are fine. i've never had a problem in probably a decade of using them although the last 5 yrs or so i just get one small print a yr to keep my daughter's albums there so maybe i've just hit a good processor:rotfl:

I bought around 400 pictures or so last year when we went on our first DCL and they all came out GREAT! I mean, we turned around and put almost all of them in two scrapbooks and I'm sure we'll probably use them for this recent trip we took. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

They're not spectacular but they're not horrible either. I use them to send pics to the Grandma's who don't use computers. Very convenient. The shipping thing must be recent? I haven't fount it too bad in the past. I switched to Snapfish because the shipping from Kodak was outrageous.

I've used them to send photos to relatives- they seem fine. I would use the 50 free prints and see how you like them. I usually use Ritz since they are in town and I can pick them up.

I had a bunch done when they had 50 free prints + 50 for a penny each plus a free 8x10. The grand total for 100 4x6s and the 8x10 was, oh, $7 or so. If that's too much, I could have picked them up from a local Walgreens and gotten free shipping, so the grand total would have been 50 cents plus tax. However, I wanted matte rather than glossy, and that's not available locally.

I'm pretty satisfied with the results. I did find the user interface a little bit of a pain to upload full-size photos - by default, it has you upload low-resolution shots.

I'll certainly use them in the future for 4x6s especially during the sales - I actually just missed another 50-for-1c-each deal. For 8x10s, there's another site (begins with an M, can't remember the name) that's more high-end and has cheaper 8x10s.

I just got an email from winkflash for 50 free high definition 540 dpi prints. On the email it said to share it with a friend,so here goes.

I just used mpix for the first time, they have a flat shipping fee of 3.00 for up to 50 prints.I do like the metallic paper, you won't believe how good your pictures look. They are .59 cents for a 4x6.Check out there site.

For snapshots, you can't beat Snapfish. The current price is 9 cents per print and their shipping averages about 2-3 cents per print add-on. Sometimes, you can find free S&H offers too. I also like that they have unlimited free storage (extra backup for your photos) and you can let friends and family access certain "albums" if they sign up for a Snapfish account (free). They can buy photos directly too (if you have given them access). Helps stop the "can I get a copy of that" requests :)

I have found their quality to be slightly better than Sam's Club and Target and much better than Winkflash. Yes, I actually had the same batch of photos printed at each place !!!!

For special prints, portraits, etc. I like MPix.
