Quad Cardiac Bypass tomorrow **Update, pg2**

We thought that my father was doing well, but his calcified cardiac arteries had other plans.

Ironically, I was telling our Sunday School class that he was doing great at the same time he was having an MI in the hospital!

Anyway, tomorrow is the bypass surgery. It's gonna be a looooooonngg day.......

Claudia - my Mom had a triple last year at the age of 84 - I'm sure your Dad is younger! She did great. Sometimes they have more trouble recovering from the incision in the leg where they graft a vein for use in the heart surgery.
I will keep your Dad in my prayers - and you're right, it will be a long day! Hang in there!

Prayers and PD to you. My DAD had a quadruple bypass 21 years ago, and his grafts lasted until last year, when he had to have a stent put in one of them. Totally changing his lifestyle helped a lot!

My dad had a triple bypass in December, 1999. He's doing great now, and recently went on an overseas vacation with Mom and me.

Encourage your dad to do his breathing exercises as he recovers!! My dad had post-op pneumonia, but that was his only complication.
