I wonder if that is because it is a DVC resort I know there were hoardes of complaints about the slow speed of the wired, paid internet at the other resorts but I found it to be pretty quick last year. Not as quick as my home broadband but I uploaded loads of photos every night and had no issues with it whatsoever. Hope they sort the problem out quickly

We found the wired connection at OKW adequate for browsing the web but no use for uploading to Youtube etc, would have to leave it uploading while we went out for a meal. I hoped the wireless was a bit faster.

We are very much looking forward to spending our 40 snack credits in a couple of months
Last time we were on a very, very limited budget, we were one of those stingy people buying double cheeseburgers with an extra bun ;-)
The only snack I remember buying was one dole whip each, so this year will be different. Can't wait to try Kaki Gori, butterfinger cupcakes and popcorn ;-)

Kaki Gori is lovely when it's hot and if you grab a straw you can drink it later as it melts
Dole Whips? Well us piggies had at least 10 of them on our last trip
We have 72 snack credits between us this coming trip (thanks to the 2 snack credits for UK guests remaining) - and it's just myself and my DD who will be 10 by then. You can go wild with your snacks. Try not to pay for anything OOP if you have to. There is really no need to try and save the snacks - it's more likely you willl struggle to use them all!
72 must be almost impossible to use for 2 people, most we have had is same as this summer, 63 between 3 of us over 21 days, we still won't use them all, I expect 20-30 bags of candy coming home with us.

Oh you're absolutely right. We never bought any snacks out of pocket last year (year before was similar) and had 60 credits between the two of us. Yet we still had more than 50 left on our last couple of days and about 14 CS credits left. I think the difference for us last year was having DD on the adult plan and we ended up sharing meals almost every time.
When she was on the kids plan, it was worth paying for but there is no way I would ever pay for QSDP now. The only thing that may make a difference is that we have always done at least 6 TS meals OOP. This year we may do a walk up but don't plan to do any unless the mood takes us somewhere. I found the days we had an ADR we often dug into one snack credit and didn't touch CS the whole day, especially if it was a breakfast or early lunch.
Wifi seems to have improved a little on other sites, alot faster than it was. The dis is soooooo slow tho but facebook etc are quick enough for me now we are leaving on wednesday and still have 30ish snacks, although have so far only spent oop on a banana for dd as i refused to use a snack credit on something that cost 1 dollar lol! Going to mk again tomorrow so will try and comsume a good quantity of dole whips
DIS is a nightmare at times, its probably the site not your connection.
Enjoy your Dole Whip. If you nip across to Capt. Cookes you can make your own twice the size.

In MK when they make the Dole Whip they swirl it around the edge and make it hollow in the centre. At the Poly you can fill the whole cup and swirl it high, I estimate roughly double the ice cream.
I'm sure they are a snack same as in the park as they are under $4
I personally prefer to dole whip floats they do at aloha isle in MK - pineapple juice and the dole whip - also a snack.
If you do go to captain cooks the adult grilled cheese or the pulled pork sandwiches are good and come with poly 'chips'. Followed by a dole whip. One of our best QS meals.
