Is it possible on the QSDP to purchase the entree and drink from your counter service meal at one location and then pick up your dessert later at another location? I really want to avoid the dessert being considered as another snack credit. Just wondering as I frequently don't have my dessert until much later and don't really want to have to carry around an item for a couple of hours which may melt or get squished.

No. You need to get all of your meal entitlements at the same time.

They will stamp your recipt at pop but they only allow you so much time. I know they don't let it go 2 hours. Maybe someone knows the amount of time they give you.

Yes, we were there last week. They stamped the receipt 90 minutes. I think only the value resorts will let you get a "delayed" desert.

I believe all resort food courts allow the order the frozen dessert when paying and then going back to get it later. Sunshine Seasons at Epcot I know does this as well. I think most CS locations that sell frozen desserts allow this. That being said, you do have to go back to the same location to pick up the dessert and you have to order it at the time you pay. Your receipt will be stamped and you'll wait in line to show your receipt when you pick up the dessert so the cashier can mark that it's been picked up.

What you can not do is pick up the dessert elsewhere. Even at CHH you can not get the dessert at the stand that's practically attached to CHH (we asked because there weren't any allergy safe desserts for my kids). There are absolutely no exceptions.

Keep in mind if you do opt to go back and collect your dessert, while it may sound like a great way to put some time between your meal and your cheesecake, you are either tied to the area where you ordered from (assuming you are in a park) or you need to be sure you can get back there within the prescribed period of time. We did this once at Sunshine Seasons with an icecream or something frozen. The problem was 90 minutes isn't a very long time when you think about it.Once we had eaten our meal and got outside we were pushing it for doing very much without having to race back. Most of the lines were too long to allow us to return for dessert in time.

Nice option to have if you just don't want your frozen dessert to melt while you eat, but for the OP who only wants to put some space between lunch and dessert I dont see this as a solution.

I so wish you could! But as stated, about the only thing you can do is get an ice cream voucher for one hour later (they stamp the time on it or at least they did at the POR food court). this works at the value and moderate food courts.

Otherwise, I like to get the cookies, rice Krispy treats and carrot cakes that come all packaged up and take them for later. Or breakfast.

I have also been allowed to sub my dessert for a water bottle at most cs locations. I get a diet coke to drink with my meal and the water bottle for later. I do have to ask and if they say "no" I say "ask a manager" and they always do it.

I never knew you could do that, but it makes sense with frozen desserts.

Good to know!!!

I forgot about the crispy treats. I got quite a few of those for dessert last year and saved them up for DD for a snack for later. Also have subbed a water or soda for dessert and had great success with this.

Thanks everyone for the great tips! I think I will try subbing the dessert for water or bottled diet soda. That will feed my diet coke habit! :rotfl:
