QSDP & food allergies

When we went in Dec, the QS places were excellent with food allergies. My DD is allergic to peanuts. I would alert the CM that we had a food allergy. They would go get their manager. The manager would go over what she could eat, they have a book with all the ingredients. THen the manager personally fixed our food theirself. I was very impressed with the service. I know they always had grapes, carrot sticks as sides. We did those alot since she couldnt normally eat the cookies etc. I know one place had Gluten Free, peanut free cookies(not sure if they contained egg/milk tho. And the fruit etc were in individual bags, so no cross contimanation.

They generally will be able to do kid sized portions of an adult food if that is what works for the allergy need. BUT some places just won't have anything that works for a particular allergy. For someone with a serious nut allergy they aren't going to be able to eat at Starring Rolls anyway because of cross contamination issues. Main St Bakery in the past was able to do something allergy safe but now I think they try and push you towards the prepackaged items. Each park does have specific locations that carry a number of the special allergy safe foods so you may need to refine your choices or be willing to eat from different places from time to time. The resort CS places are usually teh most flexible because they have real kitchens and many more ingredients than teh park CS places.
