QSDP and split stay

We are staying on DVC points at AKL during October and have booked the regular DDP for those 3 nights. We are thinking of adding on 1 night at a value before checking in at AKL. I am thinking of doing just the QSDP for that day so I can get the refillable mug. I figure we can handle all CS just for one day. If I do this, will I also be able to use this mug for the rest of my stay at WDW? I know it's intended for use for the length of your stay, but wasn't sure if that included your whole stay at WDW or just your stay at the resort you bought it at... in other words, do split stays count?

(Yes, I know all the mugs are the same so technically so no one would know the diff, but I am actually trying to stay within the rules. )

The only sticky point is the second part of your dining plan does not include the refillable mug so technically I would say no.
I also thought that the min. # of days for the DDP was three nights so I am not sure that you could add the QSDP for just one night. I know that it is this way when you book the free dining packages.

Oh hmm, that would ruin my plan then, wouldn't it? I'm not planning on getting a free dining package though.... we will be season pass holders so was going to add it on to a room only reservation. I'll check that out, thanks.

On a DVC reservation or a regular package reservation there is no minimum stay requirement. You could add DDP for one night if you want.

The 3 night minimum stay is for the free dining promotion only. If you weren't booking free dining you could also add DDP for as little as a one-night package reservation. Even if you are an AP holder, you can't add DDP to a room only reservation, it would have to be converted to a room/dining package reservation - which will make your reservation subject to the cancellation, change, deposit and payment rules required for packages.
