We are mainly doing table meals and will have about 4 Qs meals between my husband and I left over. My son is 2 and won't have a dining plan but eats full meals we were going to pay out of pocket for. Can I order 3 Qs meals instead of 2 at one time and use a Qs for my son?

Yes, I think at a CS that is fine. For all they know you are super hungry and plan on eating BOTH meals yourself.

No, for two reasons. First, the cash register will not allow you to purchase more meals than people on the reservation. You'd need to do two separate transactions. Which leads to the second reason: the terms of the dining plan do not allow you to feed other people with your credits. And goat would be pretty obvious since you have to do separate transactions.

I would imagine you could do it as two separate transactions. For all Disney know you hated it and put it in the bin.?.

Separate question..
Does the 'Can't buy more than are on the plan.' logic also apply to snacks? I assume not.?.

The rule that they are supposed to follow is that you could get only 2 meals per transaction because the computer will see that you have only 2 people on the dining plan. Whether any individual cast member will follow that rule and let you order 3 meals with one transaction can't be predicted. Some will and some won't. so if you get a cashier who follows the rules, to get a third meal you'd have to go through the line and order again.

No, it doesnt' apply to snacks. A snack is just a snack. You can use all your snack credits at the same time if you want to. This applies only to meal credits.

I have a two year old and wondered this as well. I will use some credits on him. If it is a problem, I will order in one line and my husband in another.

Putting on my flame suit:firefight.....You order two meals and have your husband order one. You wont have any problems doing it this way.

Having been temporarily banned a few years back from these boards, for trying to be helpful on a similar topic...

Let me answer this in 2 ways....

1) the rules are the rules, and you agree to the rules when you purchase and/or receive free the dining plan. Exploiting the system is a personal issue between your moral compass and the wonderful cast members at the Disney Company.

2) Read the quote in my signature!

Expect #1, try #2.

See I'm not trying to avoid the moral compass here. I've paid for those meals. Id buy my son a meal Plan but he's under 3 and we are using more ts credits and Purchasing more meals out of pocket so we would have a few Qs left over. I see no problem getting more than one meal at a time, after all I did pay for it in the meal plan. We aren't doing free dining. My question has nothing to do with ethics and everything to do with if when I ask for two they will give them to me. Sorry you were banned... My thoughts are it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission!

The terms of the meal plan state that you can't use it to purchase a meal for someone not on the plan. Disney's policy also states that you can feed anyone under 3 from your plate. So, technically, you wouldn't be able to redeem a credit to feed a two year old. Since you can't buy a play for a two year old, and since it's essentially your plate, I don't think you'd have a problem if you ask; it seems to be within the spirit, if not the letter, of the terms. But the cast member will need to ring up separate transactions if you're ordering more meals than people on the plan.

As has been noted you can go back through the line and use a credit to buy him a meal.

However, as far as you have purchased those credits and can use them how you want, not really. You have to use them in accordance to the terms Disney has laid down for their use. Your 2 year old does not have meal credits coming, you did not buy any for him. So following the letter of the law you are not supposed to use credits to buy him food.

The maximum meals you can purchase at one time matches the number of people on the dining plan. So as you have only paid for 2 people to be on the dining plan you can only buy up to 2 meals at a time.

What about people who would genuinely eat 2 CS meals in a sitting? My brother will have 3 or so extra CS meals and he could (and would) easily eat 2 burgers, etc.
