Hello everyone! Just looking for some advice and recommendations really. We are travelling in October 2020. Me, DH, DS5 and DS2. We won’t have the dining plan, and will be eating mostly QS and snacks (not TS). This is a bit of a new departure for us. We usually do mainly sit down meals, but with two small children it will just be easier to grab and go this time. So, what would you recommend to us?

For context, we are not picky eaters, we love lots of different types of cuisine, and we like vegetables and healthy options as well as the standard fries, subs and so on. Our favourite QS locations are Columbia Harbor House and Satuli Canteen. We are staying 12 nights, split YC, AKL, WL and VGF.

Hit me with your dining location and specific meal ideas! Yum! (And thanks in advance!)

At HS, you may have a hard time deciding between the two... but Ronto Roasters and Woody's Lunch Box were both great. Each of these features Mobile Ordering as well.

We love the QS at Morocco in WS at Epcot, the meals are huge and can easily be shared. You should be there during F&W so you might can make a meal or two out of the booths, we always do. We enjoy Pecos Bills at MK, again huge and easily shared. At AK we like Yak and Yeti, I can make a meal out of fried rice and an egg roll with a glass of water. We haven't done QS at HS in years because we like to eat at BD lounge outside but there is that new place at Star Wars.
We rarely snack between meals so can't help much there except that there is fruit in almost all (if not all) of the parks which is what I go for if I do snack.

Most of the QS in Epcot is really good, especially in Morocco as the previous poster mentioned. Flametree BBQ in AK is one of our favorites, and BOG for lunch in MK is the best in that park - although you need an ADR for it.

We are mostly a QS family. SO we have our favorites which honestly haven't changed much through the years. My younger daughter and I generally share meals because we aren't big eaters. So here are our usual must hit places.

MK: Cosmic Ray's, yeah the food isn't the best but it's a must do for my family. Pecos Bill's, I like that we can share and once again my family has this thing with condiment bars. Pinocchio Haus has some good shareable options especially if you add sides. We don't tend to eat a lot of meals at MK. We usually do those and get some snacks like churros.

HS: we rarely ever eat there. Just no options that we particularly like. In the past it's never been a full day park for us. That'll probably change next trip.

AK: My husband and I loved Satu'li, nice lite options. Our other favorite is Yak & Yeti QS. Lots of shareable options.

Epcot: we always get hoppers because this is our favorite park. We tend to eat our way around the World Showcase. Our must hit countries for QS are Mexico, Japan, Morocco and of course fish and chips. The combo plate at morocco is huge. Katsura Grill in Japan is so good, the meals are filling and the outside seating is beautiful. If you are on the other side of the park Sunshine Seasons has quite the variety.

Enjoy your trip.

Flame Tree used to be my absolute favourite, but on our last trip I found it to be pretty disappointing sadly :( the pulled pork sandwich was dry, the sauce having been left off somehow, and the size of the portions had about halved since my last visit a few years ago. Maybe I need to give it another chance though, with a bit more research beforehand on exact menu items?

Is Katsura Grill good? What menu items do you particularly love there? We loved Teppan Edo on the last visit, so that might be a really good option for us.

I've had the beef udon and chicken teriyaki and both were really good. Also make sure to have the green tea ice cream and green tea cheesecake. Oh and the sushi is good, I mean not the best in the world, it's Disney but it's good.

I am surprised someone has not mentioned Columbia House. One of our favorites for something good and fast.

I love teriyaki so that one I’ll definitely go on the list then!
