QS lunch on DxDP: what's included?

We are doing the deluxe dining plan this summer. Do quick service meals (lunch/dinner, although we would only do QS at lunch) include a dessert? I received in the mail the little booklet from Disney about our upcoming trip, and it says that with the DxDP lunch and dinner quick service meals include dessert?! That would be nice. I was under the impression , from various things I've read, that this is would not be the case. It sounded like dessert had been eliminated from QS meals. But maybe it is different for the deluxe dining plan? Should I bring the little booklet with me on my trip in case someone at a QS location tells me I have to use a snack credit for dessert?

When did you receive your booklet? Disney's copy department seems to be having a really bad year. The summer free QS meal booklets also included the dessert, and people received these booklets long AFTER Disney removed the dessert from the QS meal. No one has come back to report yet what they received, but I would be looking for some of those threads to see what happened for them

As for me, I'd definitely be taking that booklet with me if I planned to do any QS meals.

You may want to get out a magnifying glass and look for any small print that says something like "subject to change" anywhere in the booklet. That gives Disney the right to change the terms of the deal, but I'd still take the book.

I will bring it along. I did look carefully for anything that might say "subject to change" but can't find anything! This is our first time with the DxDP so I thought maybe it was common knowledge that this dining plan included dessert with QS, but I guess it is not or might even be incorrect! We will try it in July and report back! We are only planning on two QS lunches so it's not a big deal. Except it might be to my kids (I'd only let them have the dessert if it's included)!

Wow! If you just got it today, then their proof readers/edit for content people are really messed up. I've not heard of anyone getting a dessert, no matter what plan they're on. I might even put that little book inside the envelope it came in, so you have the postmark of when it arrived as well. I wouldn't be rude or demanding, but I'd be asking for my dessert. If time allows, I'd make a stop at guest services just to let them know the incorrect information is still being sent out.

I got mine today too and it says the same thing for DxDP and I thought it was just entrée and drink for QS too! I am confused now too!

I just checked the Disney website and pulled up their information and it looks like it just includes the meal and a drink. I'd bring the booklet along if I were you.

I just went to the website, pulled up dining plans, and Deluxe Dining plan, and 2017 Deluxe Dining Plan Details. I can't remember when we are and are not allowed to post links, so I didn't want to just in case.

Just make sure that the plan(s) still make financial sense. With the QSDP, each QS meal is now worth about $18...that's tough to do consistently with just entrée and drink. With the DDP, the QS credit is closer to $19 in value.

Thanks all. I will see in July what happens and report back. We'll bring the booklet along, but it's not a big deal (except perhaps to my kids...who do not need the sugar!) if they tell us no to the dessert. We're only doing QS lunch twice this summer. Will also stop by guest services and point out the mistake. I found another one in there as well, which is the line that says when our final payment is due is blank. I checked, and that part is also missing from our Thanksgiving booklet (arrived today; regular DDP and no mention of dessert with QS meals) as well.

True, but you didn't get free DELUXE dining. The regular dining plan booklet doesn't have the misprint, or at least, no one has come on here asking about it if it does.

Correct. We have two families going. We upgraded one to Deluxe and keep one as QS. We did this so we can have apps at meals. We will use the dining credits from the Deluxe for all TS meals.
