Just booked a trip taking in LA, Anaheim and a cruise at the end of Sept/beg Oct. :woohoo:

Anyway, we will be flying in 26th Sept and staying at Anaheim (Sheraton Park) for 4 nights, before moving onto Hollywood.

So, I have a few Q'?????

1. What will the weather be like at that time of year, daytime and evening? Will it be warm enough for shorts and T's, or will it be a bit cool for that?

2. As we will have a full 3-4 days to visit the parks, am I right in thinking weekdays will be less busy than the Sunday? Are the parks likely to be more quiet at this time of year anyway?

3. How long is the drive from LAX and which is the best route?

4. Can you recommend good non-park restaurants.

5. Will HM likely to be reopen by this time, and will the parks likely to be decorated for halloween?

6. Anybody likely to hazard a guess to whether or not we will see a parade / fireworks this time of year.

I'm toying with getting either a 2-day or 3 day park pass and answers to these questions will really help my decision.

Thanks

Weather can vary-we may have Santa Ana winds during that time and sometimes the temps can near 100. Even if it's warm/hot during the day you will want to have jackets (maybe even long pants) to change into at night as our temp can drop30-40 degrees and it's usually pretty damp at night.

I love going in Sept/Oct.-one reason is the beautiful weather.

Halloween decor should be up and that'll mean more people in the parks.

Weekdays are least busy, then Sunday, then Saturday. Fridays can also be crowded.

I believe the CELEBRATE parade will still be going then. AT least once a day. As well as a parade at DCA. Either Pixar or Electrical Parade.

Driving time to DLR from LAX can vary greatly depending on day and time you arrive. As little as under an hour to closer to 2. No traffic, weekend, 30-40 minutes.

Hi,

This was the time I was there last year, so judging by my own experiences I would say:

1) The weather was quite variable. On days 1 and 2 it was quite overcast and cool. On day 3, it was very hot.

2) Gaydays is around that time of year (beginning of October) so that weekend will be busy. I definitely noticed a difference between days 1/2 (Gaydays) and day 3 (monday).

3) Can't help with this I'm afraid - I took the Disneyland Express bus.

4) Rainforest cafe was nice, but that's the only non-park restaurant I ate in.

5) It was open during my trip last year as the Nightmare before Christmas version - not sure when it opened though. Yes - the park was fully decorated for haloween which was nice.

6) There was a parade everyday (pixar play parade in DCA and parade of dreams in DL which has now been replaced by the celebrate event). I saw fireworks on the Saturday night, but no other day (though the park closed early on Sunday due to the Miley Cyrus Sweet 16 event).
