QS dining at a resort

This might be a daft question to ask but if you use a QS credit at a Disney hotel resort and you already have a refillable mug to get your drink, do you have to have the drink that comes with your meal or can it be swapped?
Or have I got it wrong that you can only use the refillable mug at the resort you are staying at?

You can always swap out your drink and (through 2016) dessert for any items bearing the DDP snack logo. (Exception: you can't sub out drinks at Be Our Guest because of they way they are serve-yourself.)

So, by all means use your mug (they're valid at any resort for the duration) and swap your beverage out for another item!

At the resort food court we often get a bottled juice for our QS drink to save in the room fridge for breakfast the next day, and use our mugs to get a drink for our meal. We are not big breakfast eaters, so that juice, and a bagel or muffin that we get with a snack credit, usually fits the bill.

Our resort QS, we were typically swapping dessert (2016) for muffins, and drinks for... more muffins. Or, in one case, we used two QS credits and our mugs to get 2 flatbreads, 2 fruits, and 2 muffins. We ate the flatbreads and fruits for dinner and split the muffins (they are large) for brekkie.
