Q's about Storyteller's Thanksgiving Dinner

We'll be eating at Storyteller's on Thanksgiving, so I wondered if anyone on the boards has eaten here for Turkey Day in past years? Or if anyone else has booked it for this year?

I read somewhere that last year's buffet had characters (although when we booked they didn't list characters, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe they'll add them based on demand for PS's??)

Also, I'd love to hear dining reviews of the turkey, dressing, sides, desserts, basically everything! Also, does anyone know what kid-friendly dishes are offered?

It's almost November and we're starting to get SUPER excited (I'm already gathering the lanyards, pens and autograph books LOL!

We ate at Storyteller's on the last two Thanksgivings. There are no characters, but that did not in any way diminish our enjoyment of the experience. I really enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant, and everything seemed so festive for the holiday. We all found the food to be fresh and tasty. Both of the last two years, they offered a holiday menu from which you could order a traditional meal or the buffet. I couldn't tell you what was on the menu since we opted for buffet both times. The restaurant gets full to capacity, and they didn't even let in walk-ins last year, so the buffet lines can get a little long; we found it worth it though.

Food I can remember: turkey, ham, New York strip, almond-crusted salmon, some sort of pork, maybe with apricot sauce?, mashed potatoes, gravy, another type of potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes or squash, some sort of cooked veggies, some sort of rice, some sort of pasta or ravioli, several types of cold salads, fresh fruit, two types of soup including their corn chowder, bread and rolls. Then there was still dessert. They had a variety of mini desserts: mini apple or pumpkin pies, pecan tarts, mini cheesecakes and cupcakes, flourless chocolate cake pieces, cookies. You can ask for ice cream to be scooped as well.
