Q's about Skip The Line Pass

Hello! My family is visiting Orlando, mostly WDW, in December. We would like to spend one night at Universal and wanted to know more details about the Universal Skip The Line Pass...

Are we able to use that benefit the day we check in as well as the next day?

We will have tickets we bought at Costco, so we won't need to check in our hotel to get tickets, but will we need to check in at the hotel to get some sort of pass to skip the lines? Do we have to wait until a certain check-in time, or can we do that at any time on our day of arrival?

Hope this makes sense, and thanks for the help! We've never been to US/IOA before so we have no idea how this all works

When you check in, you'll receive your room key even if your room isn't ready. Then you will use your room key to obtain you express pass.

Your express pass is then good until park closing on your check out day.

you can use the kiosk in the hotel or the ones at guest services to have your picture made for the express pass.


each person in your group will need to have this pass processed in order to use the express lines.

Can we check into the hotel early in the day to get these passes processed? We'll already be in Orlando and would like to be able to go over to the hotel in the morning, get our passes, and then head over to the parks for the day...then we'll get up and spend the second day in the parks as well.

you need to check into the hotel anytime after midnight.
it wouldn't work if you tried to check in the day before your reservation.


ie: if you have a check in date for tuesday, october 23rd, you can check in anytime after midnight on the 23rd, not on the 22nd.

the system probably is set up after the midnight hours though.


you could check in at 6-7-7:30 on the day of at the hotel.

yes, check in before the park opens and hit the park line before 8:00 for early entry.

Also it's not skip the line pass, it's an unlimited express pass for onsite hotel guests. It will help you bypass the regular line. You will have typical wait times from 0-15 minutes.

The only true skip the line is VIP tours.
