Q's about getting AP and GAD?

So if I read the fine print right for GAD, I can use my GAD voucher as a down payment on an AP, right? Also where do I go to get an AP & how long does it take to sign up for it? Can I use my debit card (it has a visa logo) as the card they use for the payments? Just double checking my game plan for our trip

Just did this a few hours ago! I took my voucher to the main ticket booth and got my one day one park ticke, then proceeded to DCA, took my ticket, id, and debit card to the AP processing center and they issued my AP and used my debit card to set up monthly payments! Super easy. And no line either.

I did it a little different...I took my GAD voucher to the main ticket booth, they issued my ticket, then I turned right around (at the same booth) and renewed my AP. Not sure if it is different since I renewed mine vs getting a new one.

I did it a little different...I took my GAD voucher to the main ticket booth, they issued my ticket, then I turned right around (at the same booth) and renewed my AP. Not sure if it is different since I renewed mine vs getting a new one.

DBF and I also upgraded our GAD tickets to DAPs during our October trip and we were able to do it at the main ticket booths as well. However, we also were previous AP holders so they were able to just reprint our cards using our old pictures.

OP - I suspect that they will be able to charge your credit card and upgrade you at the main ticket booths as well. They will probably just send you over to the AP processing center inside DLR or DCA to get your picture taken afterward.

According to the Disneyland AP monthly payment FAQ page:

Can I pay monthly with Cash?
No, only credit / debit card purchases are accepted for the monthly payments of Annual Passports.

Can I change the Credit / Debit card on file during the contract period?
Yes, you change the credit/debit card on file at any time by contacting Annual Passport Monthly Payments Guest Services at 800-410-4656.

So to answer your question - yes, you will be able to pay with a credit card. However, I am not sure if you will be able to make the payments online since they require people to call the number above to just change their credit/debit card info.

You don't need to "make" the monthly payments. You will give Disney a credit card or debit card when you get your AP and sign the contract. Disney will then charge/debit the card every month automatically.
