I live in Québec city (Canada). We have a port where many cruise ships come every year. Today we had the QE 2. It is its last trip.

It is a big ship and the Magic looks like it (black at the bottom), the red chimney.

I can't wait to be on the Magic February 28 th.

Yes, the Magic and the Wonder are inspired by classic liners like the QE2 and the other liners from Cunard. Disney wanted to capture that classic feel with their design.

In fact, the newest ship from Cunard, the Queen Mary 2, looks an awful lot like the Magic on steroids. It's currently the largest ship afloat. I imagine the new disney ship that's rumored to be under discussion will look very similar.

Although 2003 is the QE2's final season of Southampton-to-New York transatlantic crossings, it will be a long time before the QE2 sails her last trip. You may even see the QE2 in Québec City again in the coming years.

When the new Queen Mary 2 (QM2) takes over the transatlantic route, the QE2 will provide worldwide voyages. Take a look at http://www.cunard.co.uk/ for more details.
