I leave in 38 days anyone worryed about the strikes

Me too, I have to get a qantas connecting flight to Sydney on the 29th Nov at 6.30am. I don't have a lot of time to switch around as the Tokyo flight is 9.25am, the only earlier flight is 6am so I'll aim to be at tullamarine for that just in case.

I went to get travel insurance today for our trip in July 2012 and it now excludes strikes by Qantas and Australian customs for policies taken out after Sept 26. I am not sure if it will be all insurers or just some.

We leave in just over 2 weeks, I think they will just delay if anything. They won't just cancel and say "Bad Luck" . We have an overnight stay in LA so unless its delayed by 24hrs we should be ok.

I'm a bit worried. I hope they don't stuff us around. This is the very last time we'll be flying with Qantas though. Too much drama lately and all the extra costs not included. grrrrrrrrr. We looked to see if we could extend our trip and there wasn't any ff seats left. If we could extend even by a few days it wouldn't worry me so much if they delayed us a day.

We have seats via Sydney to Honolulu. We leave in the evening so lots of room to leave earlier in the day. Wouldn't care if I had to go to Sydney a day earlier.

Still a little under 8 weeks before we go so not too worried as of now. Will just keep watching and if my flying day looks like being an issue will contact them as soon as I can.

I too think my qantas days are numbered. After I use ff flights to take me to DW and NY

I'm a bit concerned as I fly Brisbane to LA on Nov 5th. I've a connecting ff flight to Toronto with only three hours between flights so hopefully there won't be any major delays. Spent 20 hours at LAX earlier this year and don't like the thought of a repeat.

We fly Adelaide - Syd and Syd - DFW on Monday (24th October) and so far we haven't been cancelled

We've got insurance, whatever happens happens All out of our hands unfortunately
