We have a room only reservation for 7/20. Cancellation is by 7/15. Does that mean it would have to be cancelled on 7/14 or is 7/15 ok? I was kinda waiting on an announcement for FP+ coming back or the replacement and since there really are not any other perks, don't really see a need to stay on property.

I think that means on 7/15. Also, I don’t think a fast pass announcement would be active by 7/20.

Just curious... What happens to park reservations made from the 'Resort Guest pool' if you cancel your onsite stay?

Purely specuylation, but the Resort Guest and Theme Park Ticket buckets are always had the exact same availability, so I don't think it matters as long as they have tickets linked.

I bought tickets first and linked them, then made my park reservations. My hotel res was made after that. My understanding from reading here is that the reservations are tied to my tickets, not my room only reservation. If I had a package, then yes, I think my park reservations could be canceled.

Do you mean they won't make an announcement by then? Or are you talking about the 60/30 advance booking of FP?
I have been following the FP thread on the rumors board and it seems as though the parks are busier than ever with all the increases in capacity and thus long lines. We have always used FP and were hoping for a return, in this case to start right away just like other things have come back or opened out the blue. But since July 4th came and went with no announcement, I don't hold out much hope.

Thanks, I don't know if I would have thought to make reservations that way. I am glad you did!

I had a package with tickets for December and we changed our mind about that trip. I canceled the package and it did not automatically cancel my park reservations. A few days later, I got an email telling me to either link tickets to my DME account or the park reservations would be cancelled. I went in and canceled them myself.
