We have a big family trip coming up in less than 2 weeks, I have a question about leaving the park during the day and coming back later.

Long story short:

~ Only I have an annual pass that includes paid parking.
~ My dad will need to pick up two late comer members at the airport during one of our Disney park days.
~ Only he will leave, rest of group will stay at either park.
~ I'm the next most experienced Diser in command and must stay to guide the group, therefore I can't go to the airport.

~ Will my dad have any problems getting back into the parking structure? He will have the re-entry pass we just don't know if they'll ask to see me or my AP pass again, or both.

Every now and then they'll ask to see me when we present my AP pass, but not often. We've just never actually left the park with our vehicle and tried to re-enter so not really sure what they need to see or scan. Will just showing the pass be enough?

I could give my pass to my dad, but I may need it for a Fast Pass or food discount so I'd rather not, plus the attendant may ask if I'm in the vehicle which I will not be.

Thanks!

Well if the pass has your name on it and your Dad tries to you yes, they will ask for your AP. We used my AP to get our parking pass once and left and re-entered, when we re-entered DBF went thru showing the pass on his side, they noticed that the name was Kathryn and yes they asked. I guess if they are in a hurry or if you have a name that is either for a boy or girl you'll be OK. LOL But yes, after that incident if we used my AP for parking we made sure to go thru with the gate on my side so I could show mine AP with the parking pass. :)

Yeah I guess it's 50/50 that they'll ask, just like when we first arrive. We've gone several times since having annual passes, and I think they've only asked to see me once.

Maybe I'll go to the visitor drop off lot and have him pick me up before re-entering, and I'll tether the rest of the group to a pole.

Ya it really is 50/50.....I think your idea of meeting him at the visitor drop off lot is a good one, then there won't be any problems or questions. :)
