I am going sept 28 sun night at 6:30, how is the food, will DS5 like it with DH. How is the BW at night after dinner.First time at BW and Spoodles.

Thanks.

The last time we had dinner at Spoodles was ages ago--but it was very good. We had breakfast there last May and it was the best meal of our trip. I would hope that dinner would be equally as good. We are going back in August for at least one meal.

As for the entertainment on the Boardwalk--when we were there last year we saw a magician who was very good. There was a man who I think had a piano attached to a bicycle that he road around, and would stop and play. Our kids had a blast and they were 6 and 4 at the time.

Just wanted to jump in on this since we are also doing Spoodles for dinner one night this December. Is the entertainment all day and evening on the boardwalk or just certain times?

We are going this Saturday night, cannot wait to try that shrimp dish

The food is good. The flatbreads and dips are incredible. The BW is entertaining for about an hour, kind of reminiscent of Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco on a smaller scale.

We've been in the boardwalk area in the afternoons and evenings on various trips and so far I've only ever seen the boardwalk entertainment in the evenings. It is also fun to rent a Surrey bike over there and ride around past the YC/BC too--although the little bridge between the Boardwalk and YC/BC can be a killer (and DH and I are in pretty good shape - or so we thought!)

I had a different experience with Spoodles last month. I had the shrimp pasta and thought it was mediocre at best (the pasta was overcooked). I also had the flan for dessert, which just wasn't very good according to my self-described "foodie" friend. She also had a flatbread and the fried calamari and said both were really good.

I had the shrimp dish last week and it was very good. Ditto for the bread and dip. This was one of our favorites. I agree with a PP that said the Boardwalk is entertaining for about an hour in the evening. Cute little one man musicians/magicians/entertainers. We watched the Illuminations fireworks from the Boardwalk one night as well.

The entertainment starts in the evening, although the shops are open all day long.

Always have had consistently good service and good food. It is one of our happy restaurants and we eat there each time we are at WDW.. mostly dinner, but I have heard breakfast is good as well..

We love Spoodles & it is now on our "must do" list when we go! Last year, our favorite were the beef kabobs & the calamari...we've never tried the shrimp.

Last time I have eaten there was Oc of 2005, I had the samon and it was real good. I can't go this year because I am just going for 3 days and I am doing the dining plan and that didn't fif in my schedule. I don't think you can go wrong eating there :santa:
