Q on Reflective captioning screens

Hi all,

My girlfriend who wants to use the reflective screen instead of a listening device is wondering where you get the screens? Do you get them and have to carry them around or do you get them at each attraction that uses them.

also where do you get the "thingy" (sorry for the techincal term ) that turns on the CC on tvs?

I don't know about the reflective captioning screen, but I do know that you can rent the thingy (aka remote control) for the Closed Captioning at Guest Services. I think it's a returnable $25 fee.

The deposit is $25 for the thingy (a perfectly good name for it). You can obtain the thingy and also the information you need to use it at Guest Services.
The attractions that offer reflective captioning have a icon listed by them on the park maps that looks sort of like this: RC. At those attractions, you can get the reflective captioning parts that you need from a CM at that attraction.

Let the castmember at the attraction that you would like to use the reflective captionong and they will bring and set up the screen. YOu adjust it so you can see the writing and you are set to go. It can be set most anywhere in the auditorium but is usually up front unless you have other special needs as I do and then they work with it. (also in a wheelchair) Fortunately I can transfer and they set it up near the back for me but not the wheelchair seating. They move my chair to the side then return it to me at the end.
