We'll be doing DC next year, really looking forward to it! However we're doing it close to the end of our stay in Orlando, and we're not planning on going to Sea World at all.

How are the tickets set up? Is it possible to just give the Sea World admission to someone else for them to use? Seems a shame to have 7 days of admission that won't be used at all.

We only used one day of ours and it did seem a shame. Our photo ID badges/passes from DC were our passes into Sea World and they did check ours.

Give some thought to spending more than a single day at SeaWorld. It's worth it, I think.

It's obviously your choice not to visit SW, but IMHO you're giving up a lot of $$$. You can visit SW before your DC day and I would definately go that route. SW is a fun day out in it's own right and if you've already paid for a themepark day why not use it?

I would take at least two days at SW, my preference in those circumstances is to take 3 days and do slightly more than half a day each visit.

Unfortunately we have a limited amount of time in Orlando. The other days are all planned for at WDW, and since the last time I was at WDW Epcot wasn't even built I have a lot of stuff to catch up on.

I don't think it's possible to extend the trip any to allow for more time and therefore time for Seaworld. And although I love the animals I'm not all that interested in going to Seaworld, to tell the truth. I am interested in Discovery Cove, and if I could purchase a ticket that didn't include the Seaworld admission I would. But if it comes down to a choice between spending a day at WDW and spending a day at SW, WDW gets my vote.

Would that change if your choice was a day at WDW and a day at SW with $50 in your hand for each guest? Who knows if you save $600 in park tickets by making better use of your SW passes you might be coming back sooner than you think ;)

Depending on what type of Disney tickets you have, you might find that with a bit of hard work and hopping parks you can get to see a good portion of each park and still have time left over for SW. I have found that with the earlier opening at AK it's possible to start there at opening and get through pretty much all of that park by 3-4.00 and move on to MGM or Epcot for the evening. It's hard work, but if you're on limited time and want to cover as much as possible IMHO you can get a very good coverage of the Disney parks in 4 days (1.5 at MK, one at MGM and 3/4 each at Epcot and AK). If you have park hopper tickets, that is a possible itinerary.

Thanks for the itinerary advice. For a future trip I'll probably keep it in mind. This is a honeymoon though, and I don't plan on doing anything commando-style. I just want to be in WDW, take things at a leisurely pace, and finally get to swim with dolphins.

If we can fit another day into the schedule/budget (does require another night of hotel etc) then we'll take in SW.

U will be able to see some of SW after DC as it closes at 5pm giving u a coulpe of hours in SW but u will love DC so have a great time:jester:
