What can you tell me about Q-bot? We are going in July,1day each park, not staying on site and don't want to spend the extra on express pass. How does Q-bot work? Do you purchase it in the park? Is it worth it? Sorry new here and have never heard of this, saw it mentioned in a guide book.

You purchase it at the park. It is cheaper than the express pass because the express pass allows you to go at any time where the q-bot schedules your times.

There is no such thing as Q Bot at Universal. That's a Six Flags product, and it's part of their Flash Pass. Instead of a Magic Band or a ticket/pass thing, you have this plastic box that you carry around with you that keeps track of your virtual place in line. The only option at Universal/IoA is the Express Pass.

Actually universal has done some testing with a Q-bot type product, I haven't heard if they kept it around or not. If not then, yes express would be the only option.

I can't link to the websites that give more info, but if you google Universal Studios q-bot, you'll get more information. It was still available in 2013, but I'm not certain that it is still available now.

It wasn't available when I was there during HHN last year, and there is nothing about it on the website, so I'm going to go with it not being available. All the Googling I did for it turned up things from 2012 and early 2013, nothing more recent, and USF/IoA aren't listed on the parks list on Accesso's (that's the company that owns Q-Bot) Wiki page. It's possible it's something that is not advertised, and available in the parks only on certain days.

Strangely, it was never advertised on the UO website. I think it was always something that they considered a test.

One of the main Universal information websites still has it listed, so I'm not really sure what to think.

I saw the booth for it January of last year but didn't even think about getting is since it was not crowded at all when I was there.

It is still available. It is called the Universal Ride Reservation System. It does still come with a charge per person in the party, however, it is less expensive than an express pass since it "virtually" holds your place in line and does not allow anytime access as the express pass does. Each device is able to accommodate up to 6 people and works in the one theme park for the day. Hope that helps!

Thanks for letting us know! It is posts like this that help us to help anyone else who may ask this same question in the future!

Thanks for the information. I know I was thinking about it for my vacation. I'm traveling solo and was thinking about staying at Cabana Bay. If the price was right, it would be nice for the rides that didn't offer early admission rides or single rider line. A 2 park option would have been nice.
