On arrival night, I'm going to Grand Floridian for dinner but not at Victoria & Albert's. What I was wondering is if I would be able to just grab a coffee there (despite not having a reservation, and provided I respect their dress code).

I've no idea if this is a possibility. Would love some pointers!

There is no open seating at V&A: each table is dedicated to a dining patron and there is no bar.
 

Yep. You aren't getting in the door at V&A's without a reservation and a large dent in your wallet. It's a straight fixed price meal...and a very expensive one, at that.
Yes! Haha I saw the prices! Not interested in dining there but the vacuum coffee maker caught my attention :P

Unfortunately V&A’s not an option for just a drink (or anything less than the full experience) but if you’re looking for somewhere at the resort for before or after your dinner, Mizner’s Lounge is lovely - particularly if you can plan for when the orchestra is playing (schedule below)
