hi,
I'm rusty at this and haven't been to Disney in about 5 years.

We are hoping to go in Feb 2016. I got a pin code in the mail for 30%off select hotels for stays between Jan 2-June 7. Have to book before January 26.

Is this the best deal? It seems good to me? Or do you think there will be a free dining plan too?

Is it cheapest to use this 30% off on the direct Disney site but buy park tickets elsewhere?

Any tips are welcome!

Thanks !

30% off room-only is as good as it gets for the public. You could book now, using your code and then cancel if a better deal comes out later.

Tickets are a wild card. If you purchase them from another source, you are pretty much locking yourself out of any future package discounts. If you include them with your room reservation, thus making it a package, you can cancel the tickets when you cancel your reservation. Note: this won't work if you book room-only and then buy your tickets separately from Disney.

Got the same pin and of course we are not going this year. I get pins every year I am not going or they don't cover my dates. UGH

I got a pin code and out of curiosity called to check the rate for POP. It was 20% off. The rate on Orbitz was still lower with the 15% discount there. I was surprised.

I got that Pin and booked for April 5-11 at POFQ! POFQ was excluded from every OTHER Deal out there -- we are headed for my birthday! got the DDP too so we can do all the character meals with the little princess (doing BBB this time too!)

I had the same pin come in the mail. It also had a stay, play, and dine offer mentioned too. First, the 30% off is for deluxe only. 25% for moderate. I priced it compared to the stay, play, and dine (which also worked for my dates) and the stay, play, and dine was about $400 cheaper for my 9 night stay. It is easy to play around with the options and price it out, find what works best and book it.

Friends traveling with us got the pin code offer via email for 30% a couple of weeks ago. No stay play and dine with it. So mad, they wouldn't be going if it wasn't for us! Anyway, they re-booked with the code, and can probably re-book later if there is a better offer, but I think 30% off the room will end up being the best for them. OP, it's hard to know which way to go, but I think the 30% is a pretty good deal. If you buy tickets elsewhere you won't be able to book if a package deal comes out, but maybe it won't make that much of a difference for you?

I got the pin code today. Is there a place to enter the code at checkout online? I just don't want to call and have them price it out if I'm just looking into it, would rather research on my own online. Would it be 25 or 20% for moderate? Thanks

Do you usually get pin codes via email!? I'm sad that I have never gotten one...

My 30% code came in the mail today!!! I was both excited and sad, since we won't be able to go this winter :( I'm always jealous of the people who get pin codes all the time, I haven't gotten one in a few years! I have no idea what I did to get one now, but getting it in the mail today felt like rubbing salt in the wound.

Anyway, OP, 30% is about as good as it gets. You can always cancel and rebook if something better comes along.

I noticed the same thing when I compared booking with Orbitz verses WDW and Orbitz was cheaper by $38 plus I earned $6.58 in Orbucks. and a few dollars for using Ebates. Which ended up being more than $45 cheaper than booking directly with WDW

If you got the PIN CODE in an email, there should be a link to sign in from there to get to the offer. For the one that came in the mail, there was a URL to follow on the postcard, go there to enter your information and code and it will then take you to the Disney reservation page.

The stay, play, and dine offer is open to the public: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/stay-dine-package/

If that helps you out.

Bummed..We are going that time frame and I haven't gotten a code in the mail yet. Was it from Disney or the Chase Visa? I did get a flyer from Visa that I haven't looked at hard yet.
