Q about DU booking and price changes

Just wanted to know if I book a resort with DU, once the deposit is paid is it possible for them to increase the final price on my booking? I have heard many people talk about decreases with special codes and such but did not know if they can apply an increase.

If you book a room in the current year for the next year before the rates are released for the year you are traveling, the price will increase after the new rates are announced.

For example, if you booked a room in June 2007 for June 2008, the rate would have increased in August when the 2008 rates were announced.

DU or any other Disney specialist is only going to charge you what Disney charges for the room. If they can reduce your price by giving you a discount they will. If Disney increases the price of the room, then they have no option but to pass that on to you.

Most of the time an increase will only occur when you book a room for next year during the current year, before the new rates have been released. They hold the room based on the current rate, and you pay the current rate as a deposit, but your reservation isn't completed until the new rates are released. At that point, your final price is calculated and your reservation is complete.
