Q? about ART with shorter DL hours & WOC next week

This may be a stab in the dark...hopefully somebody might know.

A friend of mine is going to be in the parks next week and they are taking the ART from the Portofino Inn. I've been helping her plan and I noticed the park hours are shorter, I'm assuming because its leading up to the big to-do with the 60th kick off on Friday.

The day they are seeing World of Color is Tuesday the 19th. DL is closing at 7:30 that night.

Her question is this: DCA closes at 9, except for those staying for WOC, which starts at 9. The ART stops running half an hour after the park closes. She's afraid that means 9:30, so if they stay for WOC, they will miss the ART.

Anyone know if they would take the WOC crowds into account? I'd assume that would leave lots of people stranded after a long day and that would not go over well, but you never know...

I have stayed at the Stovalls Inn several times and we always walked back at the end of the day. Its about the same walk to the Portopino. If you miss the bus, it's about a 14 minute walk back, 0.7 mile according to Google. It might be faster than the shuttle.

Yes, it's a doable walk but they have 2 little ones, so it would not be ideal.
