Didn’t want this to get buried in another thread since I know many have asked.

Saw a tip on IG this morning that Pym’s has a “secret” allergy menu. I can confirm that this includes Gluten Free options for all of the bread based items at Pym’s including the Pymini and PB3 superb sandwich. Yesterday we didn’t know and DD just got the Caesar salad and took off the giant crouton (which we now know can also be ordered GF). Today we went back (because we got a WS boarding group at noon- yay!) and after seeing the info we were able to order a GF Pymini for her via the standby line at Pym’s. I can’t see any way to mobile order it.
DD said it was delicious! I enjoyed the reg Pymini yesterday as well. I think hers was larger and had more meat than mine. No extra cost but we did have to wait an extra 5min or so for prep (no surprise there).

I asked in a seperate thread if there was anything GF in Avenger's Campus. It's great to see that there is at least one option!

They have another sandwich (a PB&J plus banana and bacon concoction) that you can also order with the GF bread as well as getting the Caesar salad with a GF colossal crouton (also known as a large piece of seasoned extra crunchy toast ;) ).

Here’s what that salad looks like non-GF. I assume they just swap out the giant crouton and leave off the mini croutons. DD said this salad was good (she just took off the gluten bits) but also kind of annoying to cut up yourself with plastic utensils. Kinda heavy on the dressing too which she described as a bit “ranchy” for her liking (she likes Caesar dressing but hates ranch dressing)

Looks like they have finally posted the allergy menus for Pym's lunch and dinner on the Disney website (scroll past beverages for allergy options).

Such great info - thanks!

I'd complain about it not being on the mobile order app. But my wife really prefers to talk to a chef about her GF items. Being Celiac, she can't pick off a crouton or take off the roll. Any crumb sends her to the bathroom for the rest of the day, unless it's a bad day and then it's to the hospital. But we'll definitely check this out in October.

Definitely- DD is not that sensitive but for other family members picking things off would not have been an option so I definitely understand. FWIW, we didn't have to wait all that long for standby ordering.

I hope you don't mind, but I've posted a link to this thread on the GF super-thread.

No one's posted on it since 2019, so any info on it needs to be double checked at this point. But it's about time we had some new info and I'm glad to know there are options in AC.

BTW, was the GF Pymini toasted or was it just a 'plain sandwich'?

Another BTW, we just got back from WDW and were advised by more than one 'food' CM that people with serious issues shouldn't use mobile order anyway, they should speak to a chef.

It was toasted. Obviously it wasn't super toasted but it wasn't just plain bread. I'm pretty sure it was Udi's bread (and I think I've read that's what DL uses in the past) which, like a lot of GF bread, stays pale like that even when toasted unless its really nuked, as you probably know.

Yes, agree. But with the way things are heavily weighted towards mobile order with minimal standby options it really puts allergy needs in a bind. Given that, at DLR at least, mobile order just seems to put your order in a queue that they don't start on until you are there (often not until you are literally at the window- not even when you press "I'm here") it seems like there should be a way for them to incorporate the chef consult at that point.

May tempt one to mobile order a large coke and then say "While I have your attention.....". But seriously, I don't remember if it was this board or another one where a poster actually did a mobile order and then when they got to the cashier, made them change it to suit their needs. I wouldn't actually recommend that as it wastes food, but I can understand their frustration.

WDW seems to be much better about having their allergy menus on mobile ordering AND they also had a cashier available for walk-in orders everywhere we went. DL needs to get its act together.

Sorry for the 'mobile order' derail.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but has anyone who needs gluten free done Pyms breakfast menu? I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere :magnify:. My husband is very interested in the French toast. at first I thought I would just have eggs and potatoes but then I noticed they were like tater tots, so I became unsure. Thanks in advance

We went to Pym's for breakfast on July 4th weekend and asked about gluten free. They cannot do the french toast GF as it's not a traditional french toast but honestly more like a bread pudding with pieces of bread and egg/custard baked in a large pan and they just serve you a slice. I am not GF and it wasn't "all that", FYI. We thought the calculated breakfast was much better.

For GF options they said we could do either of the egg breakfasts (the calculated one or the Impossible one) and they could sub out the bread for GF. The potato bites are the same as the ones they serve at lunch and dinner which are on the GF menu.

Great that's so helpful thank you!
