PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Finally got in to take a peek. That's a lot of room categories. Exciting to see the Tower availability!

Wake up an hour late (because I am in Hawaii and checking into Aulani today!!) and was easily able to modify my longhouse studio reservation for a tower studio reservation in the spring. I waited about five mins to get through the queue.

Using my BLT resale points for that room felt like a steal.

Looks like early declared inventory looks something like this:

14 - Tower Standard villas - Duos
2 - Tower Preferred - Duos
4 - Tower Premium - Duos
34 - Standard Deluxe Studios
8 - Preferred Deluxe Studios
25 - Theme Park View Deluxe Studios
15 - 1 Bedroom Standard Views
4 - 1 Bedroom Preferred Views
20 - 1 Bedroom Theme Park Views
0 - 2 Bedroom Standards (Dedicated)
0 - 2 Bedroom Preferred (Dedicated)
3 - 2 Bedroom Theme Park Views (Dedicated)
1 - Penthouse Preferred
1 - Penthouse Theme Park

So we still haven’t seen pics of what the full duo studios will look like, is that correct? I’m tempted to put in a WL for one but that weird sink situation has me nervous.

Are you using resale Riviera points? or DLH?
Nope, AKV. I had to beg her to “try” to make the booking. I’ve been on hold now for some time…

ETA: after asking multiple times for her to try, she did and booked the night for me. I had to call in bc I needed 3 OTU points. I was hoping to sign up for the $99 extra before buying OTU points. Stinks they are taking so long to enact the program.

Glad you were able to get it at least.

Elements of the points chart look crazy when seen written down in the RAT, yes I’m looking at you duos v longhouses
😂

In the future...I'd make a dummy reservation ahead of time for the OTU points to have when you are ready to make your switch. Cancel it and then the points are just yours to use as you need. Not always necessary, but on a day like today, I'd want them in my hands and at my disposal versus relying on the phone lines and member services.

Thanks so much for the tip! I didn’t actually plan on booking the dates I did, but logged on this morning and saw they were avail and couldn’t help myself since they were the only dates we had planned on visiting next year that were still available. I didn’t really do enough thinking ahead, one of the struggles of been a chronically sleep deprived mom of two wild boys I guess 🥴

Would you guys do a TPV studio or a standard 1BR for a 1 night staycation in the tower for 3 people? 🤔. The TPV sounds nice to be able to watch the fireworks from the room and also saving 17 points but so does being able to see a 1BR since we've only ever stayed in the longhouses there. Giving it a shot as a prospective Poly tower buyer next year.. decisions decisions.

That's significantly more rooms (131) than the original declaration (40 units with a max of 50 rooms if all 2BR lockoffs were split). No new declaration have shown up since then. Guessing they want people staying at Island Tower so they can convince them to buy points.

Original declaration had (40 total units, if all ten 2BR lockoffs were splitthere were a potential for 50 rooms).
  • 9 duos
  • 14 dedicated studios
  • 4 dedicated 1BRs
  • 10 lockoff 2BRs
  • 1 dedicated 2BR
  • 1 penthouse preferred
  • 1 penthouse dedicated.
If my math is correct, here is the extra available beyond the original declaration:
  • 11 extra duos
  • 43 more studios (depending on 2BR lockoff breakdown)
  • 25 more 1BRs (again depending on the 2BR lockoff breakdown)
  • 2 additional dedicated 2BRs.
I wonder how this compares to past resorts?
