Putting a cc down to hold ressie

Does CRT, Princess and Cali Grill charge your credit card at time of reservation or do they just hold the number?

CRT charges in full including tax and tip. PSB is just a hold in case you don't call 24 hours in advance to cancel.

When we did the Princess meal I think they held the CC but didnt charge it but that was 2 years ago

I believe for CRT they actually charge your cc immediately unless you are on the dining plan. If you are on the dining plan, then they just hold your cc in case you are a no-show. With Cali Grill, they told us it was just in case you were a no show for your ADR. I think they'd charge $10 a person in that event. Not sure about the princesses.

We used our cc to hold Cindy's and Cali Grill and neither was charged, just used to hold the ressie. We paid when we got there. Not sure about CRT:)

they just took my card to hold the ADR but it was never charged. We were on the DDP and paid with credits.

The main one I am concerned about is CRT....I really dont want to put the money out 6 months in advance.

I just booked Ca Grill, PSB and CRT. The only one showing up on my card is CRT. BTW, the PSB cancellation deadline is 48 hours, not 24 as PP noted.

Thanks

Did they charge you the entire bill for your party or just like $100 or something? We have 3 adults and one child so I am curious as to what CRT is going to charge my card

They do charge CRT in full at the time of booking.

Ok thanks

Would you guys say that CRT is a must do for breakfast with a 6 and 12.5 year old girl? DH and I have never been either.....

They're not supposed to charge your card if you're using the DDP. We gave our CC# to guarantee a table at HDDR for August & I was mistakenly charged. So watch your creditd card statements. After calling Disney dining reservations for 4 months straight & being promised a refund, it never came. I just called my credit card company last week & got the charge removed myself! Our trip isn't even here yet!

This was the first time this has ever happened. I've always left the cc# for CRT, Cali Grill, Fantasmic Pkg., and the princess meal in Norway and I've never had a problem.

I booked CRT for 12/15 dinner and was charged for the entire party immediately. But they were very clear that was the policy. That's fine as it's one more thing paid for by the time we get there!! Going for dinner after DS#1 getting married at Disney!

I have CRT booked, and told them I was on the DDP and they said that should I not show up I would be charged, but otherwise, I wouldnt. It was never listed on my CC statements, but I also explicitly asked about it.

For Cali Grill, I was told only a hold, unless a no show without 24 hrs notice. Then they would carge me $50 a person.:scared1: Guess I'll be making sure we show up early, just incase!

Thanks everyone. I booked my ressies this morning, you are right, CRT will charge me in full now. Princess and Cali just hold the card number and charge $10 per person if we dont show

I decided to skip the CRT breakfast and book the 1900 PF dinner instead. I cannot tell DH this because when we did 1900PF for breakfast it was so loud he thought he was going to lose his mind.

I figure one Princess breakfast and Cinderella dinner would be good enough. Chef Mickey, CP and Ohana character breakfasts will be great for the girls.

Thanks again!

Last Friday, I booked the Princess Breakfast and CRT, the CM took my cc number. We are on the DP and CM said that the card would be charged only if we didn't cancel at 48 hours in advance. I know my cc hasn't been charge because it is my debit linked to my checking account.
