.... If you are extremely guilty of paying for at least 3 or 4 meals OOP while on the DDP!!:lmao: Soooo many great choices for places to eat, the last time I was there my mom and I had NO clue how to plan. We only at at Mama Melrose as far as TS goes and did the rest cs. (we were on free dining plan of some kind), so yup we were clueless.

This time around I have 7 TS, 7 CS, and 7 snacks. And so far I have 8 TS ADR's booked and still finding things I feel like we MUST try!!

Please tell me that there are many others out there like me. :rotfl2:

Also, just wondering if there is a good success of using snack credits for 'breakfast' at the resort before heading to the parks, for muffins, etc. We aren't huge breakfast eaters so if we did this it would be great I think.

Yes, right now I'll be paying out of pocket for two TS meals unless we change our minds about something.

We paid out of pocket for two sit downs because we went over the allowed amount. Every time we go we hem and haw about whether or not to buy the meal plan which never exactly seems to fit our needs. Also most of our room bill was to tips at the sit downs.

This time had our 6 year old sit and not check out with us and got him an adult counter each time and told them it was an adult with a food allergy. There kids choices are way too limited!!! I think next time we will do the counter-service and just pay out of pocket if we choose to sit down.

Snack credits are great for breakfast. The hubs and I bring a hot pot from home and have oatmeal or grits - yep, we're from the south. We also eat our Ts late at night so we end up with left over entree and dessert. Makes for a good breakfast if you're not too picky.

Great idea about the leftovers!

Guilty.

Right now, I have THREE TS meals I plan on paying OOP for. Tusker House (breakfast), Crystal Palace (breakfast), and Kona Cafe (breakfast). The other 4 breakfasts I am planning on just a yogurt parfait or bagel.

I've been playing with the Dining Plan Calculator and I just keep adding and adding. Yikes!

We aren't going to go hungry, that's for sure.

I think I might be guilty of this for meal or two. Oops? I just want to try everything...

That's me over here!
It's gotten to the point we may just upgrade to DxDP next year. There are just to many good places to eat!!

Guilty, last trip we were on the fd plan. We had six ts but scheduled seven. My son loves breakfast buffets (but NO characters) so we did The Wave at the contemporary resort and there breakfast buffet was wonderful and cheap. And also quick to get to either mk or epcot. If offered the fd on our next trip,I think we will just keep the qs plan and pay for a few ts out of pocket. I felt like we always had a adr to get to and felt like it took up too much time from the parks.

Which resort? Our last stay was at All Star Sports, and you can use a snack credit for assorted pastries, muffins, bagels, oatmeal, grits, biscuits and gravy. And maybe smoothies?

Be careful of having more than 7 TS scheduled and only having snacks at breakfast...you may come out with too many CS!

On our last trip, we had free dining (well, upgraded QSDP to DDP). My DS and I were there 5 nights and my DH was there 3 nights, even with the extra TS credits, we had to split a few times, but we had to use up CS credits (we ate around the world and just ended up taking bites and throwing away stuff and we got sandwiches for the ride home).

This trip coming up (a long way off), I think I have about 12 TS restaurants I want to plan over 8 nights (and 2 are two credit!). [To be fair, we drive down, so there will be a table service the night we arrive and the day we leave.] And there are about 4-5 restaurants that I wish I could fit in but won't work time, calorie, or budget wise :lmao:

Yes. Guilty of even paying out of pocket for a meal or two on the Deluxe plan too.

I'm with you! I have 9 TS, 9 CS, and 9 snacks. But we will have to pay OOP for 2 more TS credits. Haven't picked exactly which one yet. And, I still feel like I would like to add Crystal Palace or Tusker House.
