This is one of those 'makes me a little bit crazy' things... first that you can't book tours on-line, but even more that the tour doesn't post to MDE after it's been booked. Seems like a fairly straight forward thing to code.

This annoys me too, especially since I pretty much had to walk the CM through how to book my tour for me
I added the tour, along with the time and the confirmation # as a note
I would find that alarming, that a CM on the special phone line for tours did not know how to book it! I plan to call before I go to reconfirm my tour that I booked, and I didn't have that problem in the first place!
I haven't tried it yet but I booked the keys to the kingdom tour this am. The cm on the phone gave me a confirmation number and told me I can link it on my MDE. Is this not right? I'm not home at the moment to get the confirmation to try it.
We did get a confirmation email for VIP touring.
I don't think we've ever received an email confirmation for any of the tours we've done. We got a confirmation number on the phone when we booked.Okay. But as far as I know, you do not get a confirmation email for tours like Keys to the Kingdom or Wanyama Safari.
