Put my Crocs in dishwasher, and now too small!

I read online that you could wash your Crocs in the dishwasher, so I did that, and now they are too small! I can't even get my feet in my white pair, and the blue pair are very very tight.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Don't worry. Put them in a hot dryer for 2-3 minutes. As soon as they come out, put on a pair of very thick socks, or several pair if you don't have thick. Also, as soon as they come out of the dryer, pull back on the strap - BE CAREFUL, the strap will be very pliable and you don't want to stretch them too far. Wear them with the socks until they are totally cooled off and you will have them back to the way you like them.

I had the same problem with mine shrinking... Thanks for the advice. anywhere know where you can get them cheaper than the standard $29.99?

Thank you sooo much!!! I will be doing that this evening.

Does this mean when you put them in the dishwasher that you should not 'dry' them in the dishwasher or put it on the lowest heat setting. My white pair are actually a little large and my chocolate pair fit nice ... and they are the same size!! I would love to shrink the white pair! lol

I tried the clothes dryer thing and my blue pair of Crocs are a bit better, but still very tight and not wearable. I'm so disappointed! I loved those shoes!

Maybe you should submit your question to the crocs people? when I was researching them I ran across the advice to not put them in the microwave. Perhaps there is something on their website.

I asked a question about the knee pads (were they good for volleyball.....they are NOT) and they emailed me the next day. I would email them.

Put them back in the dryer and do it again, or if available, have someone with bigger feet than you put them on or try to shove trheir feet in. They probably cooled before finished stretching.

:offtopic: anyone ever put them in the washing machine to clean?

sorry, no suggestions on stretching them, I'd suggest going to the Croc site.

I am so glad I read this now - had thought just today of putting mine in the dishwasher, but now won't.

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. Does the Crocs website/manufacturer recommend putting them in the dishwasher?? If so then I do believe they should replace them and/or give you information how to get them to fit you again.

Best of luck

I always throw them in the washing machine with a load of bath towels using hot water. They haven't shrunk on me.They come almost as clean as new except the bottoms where stuff is "ground" in. I dont however put them in the dryer, just sit them out to dry on their own. Kids always get excited when their crocs are clean and "just almost new" as my dd3 puts it.

I tried putting my daughter's in the washing machine with a load of towels, and they didn't come clean at all. She had been playing at a playground with the tire shreds and they were filthy. She happened to have them on when my mom took her to the shoe store, and the salesman offered to clean them. There is evidentally a special cleaner for them. They looked like new! I am going to be buying myself a pair of the Disney crocs, so I will get a bottle of the cleaner too. I don't know how much it is, but it did an awesome job, so it will be worth it.

At the hospital where I work everyone uses a germicidal foam cleaner and deodorant that the hospital keeps laying around the ward called 'Disolv' on their tennis shoes. It takes off anything and makes everyones shoes look brand new. I tried it on my Crocs one night and it works wonderfully. They are as shiny and clean as when I bought them over a year ago.
