Pushing Daisies!

Are there any other Pushing Daisies fans here?
I'm usually on the teen boards but there are only 4 or 5 other fans and no one else seems interested.
This is my absolute fav. show ever!

Congratulations, you recognize true genius when you see it. Alas, I said of this show after the first episode that it was far too intelligent to survive. I'm surprised it's lasted as long as it has.

I second the recommendation of Wonderfalls, and also Dead Like Me. Both shows cancelled before their time. Wonderfalls especially is similar to Pushing Daisies in style.

Question, am I the only one who is not enthralled with the Ned/Chuck relationship. I'd love for Ned to just open his eyes and really see Olive one day.

Love it and I hope it doesn't get canceled but it doesn't look good.

I'll keep watching as long as they keep making new shows. :thumbsup2

maybe being the only "show" on the major networks tonight while Obama is on NBC/Fox/CBS will help get it some much deserved viewers.

Wow, thanks!
In answer to your question, i agree. Ned totally ignores Olive all the time. It would be nice for him to notice her ONCE(preferably singing) but, it would be really weird if Ned lost his love of Chuck.

I just love Olive... I think my favorite episode was the one where one of her old jockey pals was killed.

I almost fell out of my chair when I heard that Obama was taking over the airwaves tonight. Thank goodness ABC has enough sense to not bump regular tv for this!! Keep the political blerk on CNN or another news channel where it belongs, and leave my Pie Man alone. :goodvibes

If you haven't seen it, it's on at 8:00 on Wednesdays on ABC. PLEASE WATCH IT! It's such an amazing show but it's not getting the credit it deserves!
There are full episodes and a recap on http://abc.go.com/primetime/pushingdaisies/index?pn=index

For those who already know how awsome this show is, feel free to discuss your fav. parts or lines from the show.
Thanks!:flower3:

I love that show. watch it every Wednesday

Sweet Secretariat!

:rotfl2:

It was even funnier if you're a horse racing fanatic (which I am). Personally, though, my favorite episode was the one with the windmills and the pigeon and Olive and the aunt singing Birdhouse in Your Soul.

Love Pushing Daisies (has a very Tim Burton "Big Fish" quality to it) and was/is a huge fan of Wonderfalls (have the dvd set). I already voted, but would be watching PD tonight anyway!:happytv:

Olive got on my nerves a bit at first, but she's grown on me. Besides, I love saying the name "Olive Snook" :goodvibes

I couldn't stop laughing at the episode a few back, where they pulled 15 dead clowns out of a compact car...

2 weeks till the next one due to DWTS being pushed back a night for the election.

I LOVE this show. I will be very upset if it's cancelled. Lee Pace is great as the piemaker, and quite easy on the eyes. Olive got on my nerves last season, but I really like her this season.

Did Chuck really say she got the "piss-jitters" tonight? I may have heard it wrong, but if that's really what she said......:rotfl2:

I  Pushing Daisies! The fairy-tale like quality of the show is very appealing to me and I love the "innocent" relationship (they love each other deeply but they cannot touch - it's just so ... sweet).

I think Olive is a hoot :happytv:

And who can't love Jim Dale as the narrator - takes me back to the good old days of listening to the Harry Potter boooks on CD each day when I took my DD to school. After I dropped her off, I kept on listening

The only thing that I haven't been thrilled with is that the show seems to me to be taking a more "adult" turn. Some of the innuendo and the sexual comments get to be a bit much. Reminds me too much of just about every other show on TV then....

I love this show! We watched last weeks episode again before watching last nights. So it was a double dose! The writing is just wonderful and the characters are so perfect! It'd be a shame if they cancel it.

D-Day for Pushing Daisies is November 12. It is believed, by members of the cast and crew, that if they don't hear good news by then (i.e., that the show has been picked up for the rest of the season), that the show will be canceled after 13 episodes.

Note also that there are no episodes to be broadcast between now and then. So "we've done all we can"... it is up to luck, now.
