Can you take either on rides with you? I want to be able to bring wallet, camera, valuables with us and park the rest with the stroller. Just didn't know what they allow. At the amusement parks up here, they don't allow anything on rides, not even a fanny pack.
Thanks!

Just got back from WDW and my hubbie carried a large backpack everyday into the parks, and we never had an issue with taking the backpack with us on any of the rides. He usually just put it on the floor of the ride we were in, or for Soarin, he left it on the floor in front of him (because it wouldn't fit into the bag holder underneath his seat) and the CM just moved the backpack to the side of the row we were in, and we picked it up on our way out. I did see one person who had a rolling backpack (more like a small suitcase in my opinion!) that he wasn't allowed to take onto a ride (sorry, can't remember which ride), and he ended up turning around and leaving the ride area thru an exit. Bear in mind that we didn't go on Mission Space, or Space Mountain. We did go on the new Mt. Everest ride with the backpack with no problem. (Word of caution for those who experience motion sickness - I'd avoid Mt. Everest, I was sick most of morning after riding this ride, but may be due to just eating breakfast before riding; also, husband who doesn't get motion sickness also experienced some nausia (?sp) after riding.)

I have taken my bag on every ride at Disney. Just put it between or under your legs and on rides like RNC I put my leg thru the strap. Make sure everything is zipped or closed! for obvious reasons.

Taking bags/backpacks on any of the rides isnt a problem at all. My word of advice to you is just make sure your valuables arent breakables. When youre riding some of the coasters and you have your bag at your feet, it tends to get knocked around a bit during the ride. I learned this the hard way when I didnt back my bag properly...my sunglasses got scraped from knocking against something in my bag and on one ride, part of my cell phone screen got bruised. So if youre keeping anything like that in the bag, avoid breakage by making sure everything is packed accordingly.:)

I carry an Overland Donner Bag at WDW. I love it. I just stick it in front of me on rides, or to the side, depending on the what sort of restraint device is used and how much room I have. I never had a problem and the bag was always stuffed!:thumbsup2
