Purple Welcome Home

We just back from our first trip as DVC owners. My magic band made the Mickey Head turn purple when we entered the parks. But my husbands MB still caused the light to turn green. How can we get both of our MBs to turn the light purple?

It's not that. The purple is really inconsistent.

Honestly, I get it sometimes and not others. During my 3 day trip two weeks ago, out of 5 times entering Epcot it happened 3 times only.

My DD who is a new DVC owner and hers worked every time.

I agree with others - it's inconsistent at best. However, it seems that to have the best chance, your husband will need his own login to your DVC account.

I have the MDE account for our family. My husband doesn't want to bother with it. I get purple, he doesn't. I also have the only DVC login for our family.

You need to each have your own DVC login and MDE. Link the DVC accounts to MDE accounts. Even then it's hit or miss.

Tried to create my own mde account but now my wife's account has me on there twice... Is there a way to tell the accounts I'm the same person?

My husband ended up twice on my MDE for no reason at all. I had to call the MDE Tech folks, who fixed it quickly.

Mine usually goes purple, DHs is hit or miss. Of course his is a limited edition Figment band that produces rainbows at EPCOT. So that's pretty cool itself.

I believe it does. Much like @Deb & Bill, my hubby had zero desire to have his own MDE login... until he took a trip with just him and our boys and taking me off as lead guest every time finally got to him! I had to call the MDE team to “convert” his current profile under my login to his own. It was all pretty straightforward and didn’t take long.

Anyway, for some reason that got things going for the DVC login too (oh, I remember! It was for signing up for a moonlight magic event for that same trip!!). Welp, it did require a call to MS, but they took care of it instantly. It was super easy!!
