We will be going to Disneyland next month with our 4 year old and 6 month old. The baby is not eating pureed foods, so I was wondering how you feed your littles in the park. Do you use the pouches rather than the containers? Do you bring a bowl to pour it into or just squeeze onto a spoon if using pouches? We have only taken a baby once before, but our oldest was only 3 months old at the time, therefore not eating solids yet, so this is new territory for us.

I'm a little confused...I thought they sell baby food in both pouches and plastic/glass containers? I know we fed my friends little one the Gerber first foods when she was just starting to take/try solid food. Those seemed to work pretty well and were very portable (we didn't go to DLR, but we had them for outings to the local amusement parks). In terms of DLR, you are allowed to bring in baby food in glass jars and (I think) they sell some at the baby care centers in the parks. We usually used the container food because it was easier to feed from, but if you take a pouch, I would ask for a dish at the CS locations (or a small bowl - many CS will have them, especially if they sell toddler mac 'n' cheese or similar dishes) and use that to squeeze the pouch food into it if you didn't want to try and squeeze it into a spoon.

We took pouches. Even the littles can eat out of them. Maybe practice on the plane before you come to the park?

I’d use whatever you normally do to feed them. The baby centers in both parks have a feeding area with high chairs. (They also have changing stations and a nursing area if you need that as well)

When I traveled with my boys at that stage, I would bring pouches and a spoon, and squeeze the puree onto the spoon. When we're done, the spoon goes in a ziplock bag until we get home so it doesn't get everything dirty. i think the pouches can fit into the diaper bag a little easier than a container, and I felt like there was a better selection of foods with the pouches, but it's really just a preference and whatever you prefer. I never trusted my kiddos to self feed out of a pouch but I know some kids do.

This!! We also would bring a bunch of pouches, a spoon and one of those take n toss sippy cups in a large ziploc when traveling with our kiddos at that age. Super convenient.

You can go to the baby center to use a high chair and clean your dishes/spoon as well. You can also buy more food there, if needed. :)

Thanks for all the replies! We are currently using the Gerber containers, but they are not very portable once opened, and my son doesn't eat a whole container in one sitting. He currently only eats a tablespoon or so at a time. I think we will go with the pouches as we will have introduced enough foods by then to be able to mix foods. I'm also thinking that the take n toss spoons are super cheap, so we could even just dispose of them once we have used them. I will probably need to bring a small cooler to keep the food cold once it is opened.
I didn't know they had high chairs in the baby care centers. I knew about the changing tables and nursing rooms as I utilised both when the older one was a baby. I will have to remember that if little one is overstimulated and needs a quieter place to eat.

We use this for my daughter when we go out, it keeps her food warm & doesnt leak Or for things like custard & fruits we use the pouches

Just to be on the safe side, I would try to stick with the pouches and avoid any glass containers, if possible. You never know if you will get a CM at bag check who won't allow the glass containers to go through. While I've heard of the occasional problem with glass jars, I haven't heard of anyone having trouble with the pouches.
