Just got back from a week at Disney and Universal. We used the pure digital point and shoot camcorder to record us (dd, sister, myself) on rollercoasters from both parks. My daughter got this camcorder for Christmas. It tapes 30 minutes of video and directly plugs into computer where you can then burn onto dvd or save on computer to email. You can also order a dvd from them. The camcorder is really small and I could easily hold it in my hand and face it towards us to tape our reaction to the rides along with turning it around and taping the actual ride. At disney, We taped ourselves on thunder mountain, exepedition everst, goofy rollercoaster, teacups and kali river rapids (put in small ziplock bag and cut small hole so lens could show but rest of camera stayed dry) and the best was tower of terror-I taped the entire ride-the special effects all showed up and it is funny to hear us scream while waiting for the parts where the tower opens at which point you see our faces/reactions. My daughter has watched them over and over and it was fun showing them to family today so they could actually see us enjoying the ride. Already emailed them to friends/family letting them know we are back and had a great time.
I bought the camera at Target for 99 dollars. They also have a 60 minute version for I believe a 169. Quality of sound and picture are good. Bought it after many, many favorable reviews and a write up in time magazine about best electronic gifts for teens. Martha Stewart also has raved about the camcorder.
