Purchasing WDW Tickets with Gift Cards

I currently have between $450-500 split up on about 9 various Amex/Visa/MC gift cards. I never use them for anything because I always forget about them, or it's too much of a pain because i'm purchasing something over the amount on the card and would need to use multiple payment methods and am unable to do so.

I would like to use these cards towards our tickets for our trip in a few weeks and was wondering the best way to do this.

Will they allow me to apply all of those different cards if I purchase our tickets at the concierge desk at BWV when we check in?

Should I use them to purchase Disney gift cards at Target to take with us (or to use to purchase the tickets online?) (can I even do that? I wasn't sure if you could buy a gift card with a gift card as long as it's not a store gift card?)

Any thoughts would be great! :yay:

I don't know if the lobby concierge can use multiple GCs on a purchase but you can definitely use as many of them as it takes to pay for your purchase when doing your transaction at a ticket booth.

There is no advantage to using the GCs to purchase Disney GCs at Target. You're not going to get any discount by doing that and you'll end up with a lot of $50 Disney GCs instead of 9 random-value prepaid GCs.

You can use them to buy a Target gift card and then use that Target gift card online to purchase Disney gift cards to get 5% off (assuming you have a Target red Card). Might be a lot of work but you'll save $25.

Thanks guys - i realized i wasn't totally clear.

My thought process with turning them into disney giftcards - is because with the Amex cards they have to run it through for the exact amount on the card or less, or it declines. With the Disney giftcards i imagine they could just swipe them in rapid succession without having to treat each as a separate "credit" care transaction.

I may be way off base though (clearly i haven't spent these cards in a while and things may have changed!).

I appreciate the feedback!
