If I purchase a ticket for admission from the Disney website, will I immediately be able to link it to my account and make Fast Pass reservations, or do I have to wait to receive something in the mail?

As long as your are within your 30 (staying offsite) or 60 (staying onsite) day window you can make FP reservations immediately. Buying a ticket from Disney while logged into your MDE account give you immediate access to ticket features.

If you purchase the ticket through your MDE account, it's automatically links up and you can begin booking FPs within the open 30-day window.

For an onsite reservation, the 60-day window opens 60 days before your check-in day.

Thanks so much for your quick responses. Is the same true if I purchase an Annual Pass through my MDE? It says that you have to go to a Guest Service location to pick it up.

The voucher is linked to your MDE account and this allows you to book your FPs. When you pick up your Annual Pass at Guest Relations, it is then activated as of that date.

I am staying onsite, bought my tickets and am 60 days out. MDE only will allow me FP+ access 30 days before my stay. The system is broken, and has been since they started. Never assume it will work, and I forked out $1100 to get my FP+ choices , I should have just waited 2 months and bought them at the gate. The sooner they find another system rather than MDE or people who can actually maintain it without it crashing every year the better off we will be.

I answered this on another thread that you post this on too.

What is your arrival date, and is your hotel reservation linked to your MDE account?(Meaning - can you see it under reservations?). If so, you need to call Disney IT.

I have had a gold AP since Oct and have stayed onsite 5 times since then and have been able to book FPs 60 days for every trip.

Based on the time stamp of your post, I'm guessing you tried at 12:00 am Eastern, but about a month ago, it was changed to 7:00 am Eastern.

Good catch @siskaren - I didn't notice they were at 60 days and trying at 12am. That could be the problem.
