Purchasing Stripped Contract - Confused Re: Borrowed Points

Hi everyone,

I'm purchasing a 25 pt contract @ BWV with an October use year. There are 13 borrowed points coming 10/14 that must be used by 10/15. Then there are 12 remaining points in 2015. Full points from 10/16 onward.

How is it possible for 2015 points to have been borrowed prior to the beginning of the 2014 UY?

Here is the clause in my contract: 10. SPECIAL CLAUSES: BUYER TO RECEIVE 13 BORROWED POINTS FROM THE 2015 ALLOCATION, WHICH NEED TO BE USED BY 10/1/15, 12 POINTS FROM

THE 2015 ALLOCATION, 25 POINTS FROM THE 2016 ALLOCATIONAND ALL POINTS FROM CLOSING FORWARD.

They could have done something such as book a vacation for this November and borrowed the points - then canceled and decided to sell.

But you can only borrow 1 uy ahead. Right now, they are in oct 13 uy so they could only borrow into OCR 14 or so I thought?

It goes by travel date. I already borrowed into one of my contracts. 2015 points for my 2014 vacation.

It depends on when the vacation takes place not when you book. If they booked an October 2014 vacation or later (in their 2014 use year) they would be able to borrow from the 2015 UY.

So basically the seller booked a trip after 10/1/14, canceled, then put up their points for sale?
